My first reaction to this book was who reads this trash. Than after I read it, my throbbing heart nearly ruptured with vomit. I have a mental picture of this big sexy fat woman with potato chip grease on her hands writing this novelty. Am I write?

This review is from: Love is Patient (Love Inspired #248) (Mass Market Paperback)
Lisa Sterling's step-brother Gabe is the only family she has left, so when he is fired on accusations of theft she is determined to prove his innocence.

She takes a job in the company he was fired from, and soon takes the opportunity to go to a wedding under the pretenses of being her boss's girlfriend (to help out her boss, whose mother constantly tries to matchmake him). Some in her boss's family, the Matheson's, were responsible for accusing and firing Gabe.

As Lisa and her boss, Dylan, research the accusation of her step-brother, Lisa maintains the deception that Gabe is in no way related to her.

The Matheson family accepts Lisa as one of their own for the most part, and Lisa thinks how fortunate Dylan is to have such a family.

There is something unresolved and strained between Dylan and his father, having to do with Dylan's brother.

When Lisa and Dylan go sailing one day, they find both of their feelings for each other escalating.

They both grow in their faith in God. Together they read a passage of scripture about love being kind and patient.

When Dylan finds out about Lisa's deception, however, he is angry. Lisa assures him her love for him is real. Will Dylan believe her, and forgive her for her lies? Will he realize that true love is patient?

A good read with some suspence and quite a lot of romance (some kissing, too). It's definitely more decent than a lot of romance novels these days.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love is forgiving, January 22, 2012
This review is from: Love Is Patient (Kindle Edition)
Lisa has only one family member int he world. Her step-brother Gabe is more important than anyone, and family help each other. That's why she started the deception of lying on her application to get a job at the company that fired Gabe. That's why, even when she falls for her boss when they go to his mother's for a week-long vacation, she doesn't tell him her real motive for wanting to get to the truth of who took the money in the company. but as they spend more and more time together, Dylan and Lisa fall deeper and deeper for each other. Then IT happens while they are sailing. He kisses her - not once, but twice. Then they are hooked. They no longer want to pretend - they want to be a real couple. But what will Dylan think wants he learn the truth? And Lisa knows it will be found out - SOON!

This was a wonderful book. I loved they mystery surrounding the missing money. I loved the romance, and watching Lisa and Dylan return to their faith they grew up with. Ii loved watching them come together as a couple. I loved the fact that Dylan was angry when he learned the truth - and that so much forgiveness took place. The romance at the end was GREAT, and I'm especially happy that a proposal didn't come after only such a short time together.

If you don't want to read the story read the back cover or three pages and you will know it. The main character, who we will call Tim, becomes a secretary to be a shameless capitalist republican. She goes to a funeral with brother and meets Dylan, the guy with a 90210 name, how cute? Would Dylan look past her greed? Or course he would, it's a Christian romance novel!
