5.0 out of 5 stars Real ...
When I chill out and blow some smoke into the air, I play my LOST BOYZ cd's and I'm telling you it's lovely. LOST BOYZ are some original catz. They keep to themselves, never cross each others boundaries and keep it real. I respect their group to the fullest. To listen to their music is to know them and what they represent. All I can say is, their talented brotha's...

3.0 out of 5 stars canibus brings the sickest drama... but that's it.
This overwhelmingly boring cd is worth keeping because Canibus drops a long disgusting verse on Beasts from the East, among the best ever in all hip hop, which overshadows excellent verses by A+ (where's he at, he's been getting better and better)and Redman. Me & My Crazy World is a great track, the rest of the cd is weak. Not as many club anthems or anything like...

4.0 out of 5 stars Lost Boyz- Love, Peace & Nappiness, July 12, 2005
This review is from: Love Peace & Nappiness (Audio CD)
The Lost Boyz (Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah, Pretty Lou and Spigg Nice) second album "Love, Peace & Nappiness" (1997) is a solid release. LB starts the album off strong with their own version of "Summer Time". They follow it up with the exceptional Ron G produced "Me and My Crazy World" a track about being in love with two women. Mr. Cheeks then collabs with Canibus, A+ and Redman on the raw "Beasts From the East". The title track "Love, Peace and Nappiness" feat. King Keiwanee & Da Blak Pharoah is something special, an upbeat LB anthem. Another track for the ladies follows in the laidback "So Love". A+ and Canibus make another appearance on "My Crew", then Cheeks and Tah drop some decent tracks in "What's Wrong" and "Certain Things We Do". Mr. Cheeks recalls growing up on "Games" feat. Luv Bug Starski. Freaky Tah rhymes with a deep flow on "Get Your Hustle On". "Tight Situations" has LB & Queens Most Wanted telling a thugged out story of a jack. The Lost Boyz provide another outstanding track on the Bink Dawg produced "From My Family To Yours" (Dedication) feat. Queens Most Wanted, LB puts mad heart into this cut while remembering the deaths of Pac, BIG and friends. The Lost Boyz provided a memorable album with "Love, Peace & Nappiness", one which I recommend for the collection.

Lost Boyz' own style!
Typically Lost Boyz. With the grimey voices and beats with Rasta-Hiphop influences! Very dope. I can't compare Lost Boyz with any other hiphopgroup who have about the same style. That makes this cd so nice and different than the rest! I am definitely going to buy their last album ''Forever''!

Lost Boyz second and last release prior to the death of member Freaky Tah, Love, Peace & Nappiness' lead singles took us on familiar ground with the group, but overall was a whole different experience. "Summer Time" is the lead song for this album that was a good example of the group's signature style of music. Continuing with the mainstream sound, "Me & My Crazy World" produced by DJ Ron G is about being in love with two women. For a more lyrical, darker experience, "Beasts From The East" featuring A+, Redman & Canibus takes the group to unfamiliar heights that continue with "My Crew" featuring A+ & Canibus. The slow sample of the title track solidified a position for the Boyz with a feel good mainstream song. "So Love" is about the feeling within a relationship over R&B harmonies. Continuing with their up-beat formula of a gritty type bounce groove, "What's Wrong" they admit "...we can do this all night..." with "Certain Things We Do" following the direction and aim. Freaky Tah flows solo on "Get Your Hustle On" with his raspy voice added to the album's versatility. The story line on "Tight Situations" was narrated well by Mr. Cheeks as the horn section made the flow more intense. The album's elevation declines as the remainder of Love, Peace & Nappiness was more or less the love and peace of the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars On Top of the Game., January 23, 1999

This review is from: Love Peace & Nappiness (Audio CD)
Lost Boyz does it again. I myself was in awe over the raw originality expressed by these Long Island artists. The group gains nothing but respect from the way they were able to maintain. From Legal Drug Money, an over all depiction of themselves, to Love, Peace, and Nappiness, where each artist and many more very talented artists gave a more personal overview of themselves. The Lost Boyz remain on top of the Rap Game.

4.0 out of 5 stars No Happiness just Nappiness, October 30, 2001

I gave this album only four stars because I know personally there was a lot of tension building up while recording this album and had it not been there (the tension) this album would have been off the hook.
