5.0 out of 5 stars The Passengerz Remix
All the tracks on this CD Single are excellent, especially the rmx. The tracklisting is below plus some comments:

01 Love Profusion : Album Version (3.36) - Good track to be released as a single.

02 Nothing Fails : Radio Edit (3.46) - Basically the album ver. without the choir. Still an excellent track, though.

1.0 out of 5 stars What is WRONG with her?
Why doesn't Madonna understand that "American Life" had had to be one of her most stunnigly worse efforts in her career that she can release every single from this god awful project, have them remixed and reconstructed by every DJ and Remix Producer on the planet, and it STILL will not get anyone interested?

Even the cover art for these vapid singles she...

02 Nothing Fails : Radio Edit (3.46) - Basically the album ver. without the choir. Still an excellent track, though.

03 Love Profusion : The Passengerz Remix (7.01) - The main reason to buy this single. It's red hot and nearly on fire!! Much better than the remix on CD2.

Good CD, but if you want more remixes of Love Profusion get the maxi. It includes 3 Ralph Rosario mixes (none on CD 2) plus an extended Passengerz Remix (not this one). However, to have all the remixes of Love Profusion you need a total of 3 CDs.

(All Love Profusion Singles).

1. UK CD 1 (This one).

2. UK CD 2.

3. Maxi.

Thanx.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Of Madonna's Best Songs For Years!, February 13, 2004
By
Busy Body (London, England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
This past year has been the most critical of Madonna's career since way back in 1992. Her sex-mad antics of the early Nineties saw her career slump to an all-time low, and this pattern is being repeated as we speak. Madonna's 2003 album "American Life" (despite storming to No.1 in more than 15 countries worldwide) has sold just 5 million copies to date and the singles released from it have only been moderately successful. Critics and fans alike have given the album poor reviews all round, and Madonna certainly appears in need of a reinvention to put her rightfully back on top as the No.1 Undisputed Queen Of Pop.

I beg to differ with the critics, however: American Life is a superb album, criminally underrated and will be Madonna's most tragically overlooked record to date. After the singles "Die Another Day," "American Life" and "Hollywood," Madonna finally released the song everyone had been waiting for - "Love Profusion." This song is most likely to be the final song released from the album. It peaked at No.11 in the UK back in December 2003, becoming Madonna's lowest-charting single for more than seven years.

Love Profusion opens with the booming voice of Madonna singing, "There are too many questions. There is not one solution. There is no resurrection. There is so much confusion." The acoustic guitar in the background sets the happy tone for the song as the chorus kicks in, "And the love profusion. You make me feel, you make me know. And the love vibration. You make me feel, you make it shine." The second verse then starts and the beat of the song kicks in more and more. Madonna's vocals rise as the song gains momentum and she sings, "There are too many options. There is no consolation. I have lost my illusions. What I want is an explanation." She then sings the chorus once more before stating, "I got you, under my skin" over and over.

The song continues as she sings, "There is no comprehension. There is real isolation. There is so much destruction. What I want is a celebration." Madonna then sings, "And I know I can feel bad when I get in a bad mood and the world can look so sad, only you make me feel good." A male background vocal adds to the superb sonic qualities of the song. Madonna then lets the song loose and a wonderful beat hits in at 2:12 as she whispers "I got you under my skin." The chorus is then repeated a few more times as Madonna seems euphoric in a wonderful state. She seems happy, and the listener is happier because of this!

The video to Love Profusion is definitely Madonna's best from the American Life era. It features Madonna dancing around on a strip of sand in the middle of the sea. It sounds rather weird and it is, but in a really cool way. She's dressed in a long pink dress and dances around with enormous flowers that dance along with her. The colours in this video are particularly amazing - so vivid and bright. Then Madonna starts walking across the water on the sea, and on a strip of cloud with fireflies and much more in a reverse magical wonderful. The video is based on a British commercial for Estee Lauder perfume to which Madonna was sponsored. The song received great feedback in the UK that a video based on the concept was inevitable! And here it is, Madonna at her most underrated but best all at the same time! Superb song, superb video.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Madonna's best EVER remixes!, January 24, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
While I really enjoy the original version of Love Profusion, this remix is simply fantastic. A radio version of this should have been on the album. Madonna keeps choosing great remixers! Her vocals are highlighted and it just flows. I love listening to it when I'm in my car. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars absolute best, November 4, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
love profusion is one of the best songs ever from madonna's career. The guitar riff and electronica sounds are great and the melody has a lot of emotion. The remixes are really great and also, Nothing Fails is one of the most beautiful ballads of Madonna's career. I recommend getting the American Life album cause in addition to these 2 great singles, it stands as one of the best madonna records in her career and extremely underrated

5.0 out of 5 stars She's A Love Profusion .., March 14, 2004

This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
This beautiful ballad has easily become everyone's favorite album track. It is the fourth single to be released of the amazing album 'American Life'. 'Nothing Fails' is an affecting love song to her husband. Attesting to the transformative power of love, Madonna's sincerity is apparent more so than on any other song. Madonna takes on the role of Joni Mitchell as she uses her folk songwriting techniques with an electro twist on 'Love Profusion'. 'Love Profusion' starts out light and unadorned, until beats build around the guitar she's playing. This time the track is an ode to children as well as Guy Richie.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of better cuts from "American life", April 19, 2011
This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
We all know what happened to "American life". The album sank in the sea of controversy, making songs like "Love profusion" invisible in the charts.
It's a shame 'cause the song is one of her best releases. I got before the US maxi and it failed on many levels. I decided to buy UK versions (I have also the cd2) and I am more than satisfied.
There is album version of "Love..." and radio edit of "Nothing fails" (another epic song of hers; it could have been titled "Like a prayer part 2" - with respect to both tracks!).
As a "dessert" we are offered a nice club mix made by Passengerz (and it is one of the few good mixes of this song, without too many additional effects, vocader etc.)

This single is a good option for people who don't fancy having "American life" cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Profusion and Nothings Fails Are Just Great Songs!!, June 10, 2005
This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
I love Love Profusion. It is just a beautiful song to listen too from the beautiful American Life album. It is the 4th single released from the album. It talks about too many questions and how there is not one solution. She talks about when the world is so sad only you make me feel good. Very poweful lyrics considering what is going on in the world right now. You can hear French producer Mirwais voice in the background during the song singing Love Profusion. Nothing Fails is a slow remix of the beautilful song. It is very similar as the original version but then again slightly different. I love it and it moves me. Love Profusion Passenger Club Mix is a fast version of the original songs and has some good dance beats to it. She whispers several times "I've got you under my skin" and then "under my skin". I haven't seen the video for Love Profusion but just from watching clips she looks really beautiful walking through a field and being in paradise I believe. I highly recommmed this CD even though it is not that long it is very enoyable to listen too. The highlight would be Nothing Fails!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Profusion, January 5, 2005

This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
Love Profusion is one of Madonna's best songs to date. It has beautiful lyrics and a great tune. The UK single is divided into parts one and two (as all UK singles are). If it is remixes you like then go for the U.S. maxi you six mixes of Love Profusion and one of Nothing Fails.

1. Love Profusion (Album Version): A version that you can't get on the U.S. Maxi. This is nice if you just like the song and don't want the buy the album.

2. Nothing Fails (Radio Edit): An exclusive to the UK CD 1. This is a shorter version than the album version. I like the album version the best though.

3. Love Profusion (Passengerz Mix): This an okay verson of Love profusion. It has a techno feel to it. The best mix is the Blow Up Mix (Which you can find on the U.S. Maxi)

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Club Remix!, January 26, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
I will say it shortly - Ralphi Rosarios House Vocal Mix is one of the best club mixes released by Madonna since the Sasha Mixes of Ray of Light. I do not understand why she decided to withdraw 4 mixes of Love Profusion from the Nothing Fails US Maxi Single...so sad! She should have released a full remix Maxi Single for this great song. Hope she will put out the 2 unreleased mixes for this ballad soon. The Passengerz' Club mix on the CD I is great too.

5.0 out of 5 stars The world does need a good spiritual kick in the ass!!, April 5, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Love Profusion 1 (Audio CD)
It is very obvious and extremely easy to see that the reviews for "Love Profusion" some folks here have expressed (in my opinion) reflect a good percentage of the world's level of intelligence regarding the concept of spirituality and the here-after. C'mon people WAKE UP!!! My God!!! Listen to the music and not just with your ears like SO many people do. Madonna is trying her hardest to stay within the "pop" culture scene simultaneously teaching her audience a completely different way of living your life. Not as your parents tought you, but how the many, many seers of the ages have taught (including Jesus Christ) which is to love eachother unconditionally because the only way to freedom is love. Give it, receive it, express it, preach it, do anything you can to live your life as good as you can. Madonna also has been trying to get the U.S. and the world to follow the law of cause and effect or how it is otherwise known as Karma. "Your reap what you sew", "What goes around, comes around", be and do good things for others and good things will come back to you. Do bad and terrible things to people, the same horrible things will come back to you. And, when karma makes the "comeback", it usually is at least 10 times either worse or better, however you started the wheel in motion. The next time you listen to the words to "Love Profusion", listen with your ears sure, but try to listen with your heart as well. You'll begin to see what She is trying to convey to us and it is the most beautiful collection of words that when all is said and done, "Love makes the world go 'round". Take heed folks; love is the answer, not hate. If you don't understand this now, you will in time I promise you, as God is my witness. Good Luck!! I love you all and I love you Madonna for getting this message out!!!
