5.0 out of 5 stars So Rare !, July 17, 2000

This review is from: To Love (Audio CD)
Highly recommended ! Not only this CD will give you excellent guitar pieces, but also ideas to think about, dealing with contemporary subjects. When I first heard Randy Rare playing and singing, on the first track, I thought this musician had *something*. In "What Kind Of World" as well as in the other titles, melody and meaning mix so well that you can not stay indifferent. I was charmed by the guitar sound of this Woman in White, and fascinated by the solo guitar and the kind of relax discussions between the instruments all along the album, especially between the piano and guitar, in Fool's Paradise. Also, the African Queen in a Parisian Night, (clearly dealing with homosexuality), is a great and enthusiastic piece of work. I definitly never forget to bring this CD with me anytime I'm away. Randy Rare use to be J. Mayall bluesbreaker. To me, he is an amazing guitarist, musician, composer, writter and singer. More than just creating magic musics and putting words to fit in, he cares about the message, and tells us more about his life, talks about drugs, temptations, and women a lot !

Once you hear To Love, you feel hight and wonder "what's next ? ". You want more music, you want more life !
