Marriage Help GOD'S WAY!,

FINALLY!a book that is inspired by and developed upon what God's word teaches about his plan for marriage. Most Christian authors of marriage guidance books try to wedge scripture around modern psychology and worldy thinking concerning men and women. However, Emerson Eggerichs was a pastor trying to council troubled marriages but having limited success. The marriages he was trying to help fell right back into the same problems. Eggerichs even saw the same pattern on a smaller scale in his own marriage. He sought God's help through prayer and study of the Word. And of course God is faithful.
One day when studing Eph. 5:33, God the Holy Spirit illuminated him to the Divine truth found there. The key to having a fulfilling marriage in spite of our sin nature is by being obdient to the mandates found in this passage: Love & Respect. Based solely on scripture he has developed an explination of why this obdience works and why not fulfilling these mandates, whether willingly or in ignorance, perpetuates and excelerates bitterness, pain and isolation within a marriage. What is most illuminating to me as a wife was the mandate to give unconditional RESPECT to my husband as an act of obdience to my heavenly Father. Christians are familiar and comfortable with the idea of unconditional love, which is what a husband is commanded to give to his wife. However, NOONE is out there teaching from the pulpit that wifes are to likewise give unconditional respect to their husbands. The fulfillment of each partner's mandates energized and motivates the other to fufill their part. This book is good for EVERY marriage. If you have a good one, God's truth will make it better. If you have a boring marriage, God's truth will energize it. If you have a troubled marriage, God's truth will heal it. If you have a dying marriage, God's truth will resurrect it!
