This is perhaps the worst book I've ever read (or should I say attempted to read since I couldn't get past the first chapter). Who wrote all the glowing reviews, I wonder? Absolutely horrible writing, bad grammer, punctuation, etc. Some of the sentences are so badly written that you have to go back and read them again to try and understand what in the world the author is trying so badly to say. It's as if he looked up every verb and adjective in his thesaurus in attempts to be original. Instead, what he ended up with is just jumbled nonsense. And the dialogue! No one talks this way in real life. I've never done this before, but after the first chapter I actually got up and tossed the book in the trash. I LOVE books, but just couldn't see one single reason to keep this one in circulation. I put it out of it's misery. Do yourself a favor and read something else. If you want a wonderfully well written time-travel romance with real characters, then you can't go wrong with Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.
