It's The Quality Not Quantity That Makes This CD Very Good!, November 2, 2006

It was blind luck I found this, Collectables; I Love Rock & Roll; Vol. 4, CD on Amazon's website and by it not having any previous reviews on it; I was taking a chance on it and my opinion of it is.....Not Bad!!!. I gotta admit it only has Ten Songs on it but all Ten range from fair to excellent and for the budget price of this Disc; it's hard to beat. In Otherwords.....it's definitely; quality over quantity. I think there are three fair to good tunes here and the other seven are excellent and the sound quality is pretty good also. At the time of this Review; the Ten Tracks had no Thirty Second Song Samples but if you are like me; you will recognize most if not all the songs titles anyway. Brooklyn Bridge's beautiful classic, The Worse That Could Happen, Sue Thompson's, Paper Tiger, Jerry Butler's simply gorgeous, Make It Easy On Yourself, The Lemon Piper's, Green Tambourine, Bobby Freeman's, C'Mon And Swim, Gladys Knight And The Pip's, Midnight Train To Georgia, and Mel And Tim's, Backfield In Motion, were great in their day and still sound great and when you put Dion's, Lonely Teenager, and The Passion's, Just To Be With You, with em; you also have a little Do-Wop here. The only tune here I didn't recognize the title of was Gene And Debbe's, Playboy, but after hearing the song; I remembered it and it's a pretty song. All Ten of these tunes are very listenable and as I said above.....Not Bad!!! I'm Impressed!
Final Note: It is fun to hear Mel And Tim's, Backfield In Motion, again. It is a cool tune and always did remind me of every Football Season and the old A.F.L
