A magnificent voice, with depth and immense beauty, Beverly Craven has outdone her first "brilliant" album Beverly Craven.
Not only (very much like her first), is the music on this album diverse in style. It is also diverse in the story it tells. It is a pity that she has stopped singing and an even greater pity that her music is published no more.
Beverly's genious easily matches that of current day smooth Jazz artists (like Norah Jones)

Beverley Craven's second album is just as great, if not even better, as her first. We can find the same perfect combination of compelling melodies, great arrangements, wonderful songs, and Beverley's voice is absolutely to fall for.
This album is more than 10 years old but doesn't sound a bit as such.
The sound is great and the compositions are all of a time-defying type. Musicians involved are among the best. Jeff Beck, no less, is playing the solo and lead guitar on some of the pieces for example.

As I wrote about the first album, reather than 'easy listening', I would describe Beverley's albums as 'compelling listening'.
Over the years, I've actually bought several copies of her three albums ('Beverley Craven', 'Love Scenes' and 'Mixed Emotions'). I've found that the three make for an absolutely great present. I've yet to find a recipient who didn't like them. Actually, even years later, most still attest that this is a gift that they remember and care for, and that they keep cherishing these albums as among the best they own. Same as I do.
It you like great female singers and you want to really please someone, or even yourself, this is a CD you can pick up without a second thought.
