I bought this to supplement our homeschool science lessons. At the time I figured we'd just use it as a reward for completing other projects. Turns out, this "game" packs quite the educational value in it!

As soon as a child starts the game they have the option of which section to explore. My son is currently in "Mo's Workshop" learning about friction, electricity and circuits. Once inside the workshop the game lets kids pick out particular lessons they want to learn OR they can let the game do the choosing.

Interspersed throughout the learning portions are little mini-games to keep kids engaged and reinforce what they've learned. My son looks forward to those and I love knowing that he's being "tested", in a sense, for his proficiency in a subject.

With that much thought put into the creation of this game, we're planning to order more games by this manufacturer.

This learning cd is filled with a whole series of attention grabbing games and knowledge boosting activities. The thinking process is definitely lit!

Our kids adore this cd, work hard to get all their chores done to see who can play it first, and have come to love science even more.

As long as you are willing to down load a patch, it works fine on Windows XP.

For those who are sensitive to how human biology is covered, the part on human biology is done appropriately. There is a brief intro to what zygote formation is and that a zygote grows into a fetus, and they state that at 9 months the baby is born, but the cd does not go into any topics of human intimacy. There are no inappropriate pictures or content. The particular values of the parents are left in the parents' court to teach.

While installing this on Windows XP, it said XP was not a supported system and that it may still work properly. Once installed it gave me an error message that said the audio was disconnected or not working properly. I went to [...]. and downloaded the first fix. It works wonderfully now! It was a pain, but I hope this helps others who may have the same problem. BTW, the disc and the box it came in both say clearly that it works with XP. Best Wishes!!

Sometimes getting the science enrichment my children need while homeschooling can be a challenge. I've found it difficult, at times, to keep them excited all the time. Science IS fun and thanks to this CD ROM my children now LOVE science, too! For anyone who bought this CD ROM and is having trouble running it, we had the same issue. Do a google search for the "I Love Science and I Love Math patch" and after downloading it you should be able to play it with no problems. It's tons of fun for everyone! It's a great break from the worksheets. Interactive science fun and facts- you can't beat that! There are so many dimensions to this CD ROM. Just pop it in and let your child explore the world of science!

I tried it on 3 different PCs of different platforms. All gave the same error message. I LOVE the idea of software, and we always want more educational fun titles!

I bought this for my son and it never worked on his computer. It said it was compatable with his operating system,but it had problems from the moment we started to install it. My husband is a computer programmer and has been fixing computers for 15 years and couldn't get this to work.

I couldn't get it to work on my computer. My husband tried and couldn't either, and he's a computer engineer.
