A book for all seasons,
By Flower Girl (MN, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Love for all Seasons (Super Regency, Signet) (Paperback)
This was a book comprised of five different stories with each season as a theme, and with the final story to wrap up all seasons. These were very well-written, tender stories of what love is like in a marriage--it has its ups and downs, just like the summer and winter; but because of those extremities one could appreciate and look forward to the spring and autumn, which completes the cycle and thus go on continuously .
I really enjoyed Ms. Layton's portrayal from male characters' point of view--It offered tender reflections and therefore humanized the heroes. I especially enjoyed the words of wisdom from the fifth story "A love for all seasons", it offered some concrete advice to keep the marriage "lived happily ever after". This was more than just a romance novel I have read, this was a book to happy marriage with a dose of reality. I highly recommend this book.
