Delilah is such a wonderful, warm woman, and these stories and reflections take us inside her life and her heart. Her honesty and her spirit make this book a must-have for anyone in need of some encouragement - she singlehandedly renewed my faith in the power of love. Whether you're heard her on the radio or not, this book is for you!

Being a trucker, I have listened to Delilah's radio show all across the country on those lonely nights. She has a special talent of connecting to her audience. Well, the talent carries through in her book. I was skeptical, but so impressed when I read it. It is sappy, like her show-but really inspirational and I read it nonstop to the last chapter! I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever come upon obstacles in their lives.

Delilah, the way your book is put together is incredible, and so much like you, you not only told your stories, but included stories from those around you whom you love, as well as those from your listeners. The book is an incredible journey of faith, love, commitment, all those things you talk about on the radio! For me personally your book helps me to see who I was, where I am and who I want to become. You truly have a heart that is so big and generous. Beside making me want to come live with you, plant gardens and sing out of tune and laugh with you, play at the ratty shops with your sensitive and wonderful children, I would love to hang out with your sister Janey and maybe even snippy Peter too! You have touched my heart with the simpleness of incredible dreams come true, and of really taking chances and living life again and again. Thank you Delilah for sharing your life, your words of encouragement, and especially for sharing your love, and your message to Love Someone Today.

This book claims to be inspirational and I'm sure the couple million fans of the radio host would give it five stars--but if you don't love Delilah this is no better than one star. (So I settled on two star to pick a middle ground between the few who listen to her and the 98% of the population who don't.)

It is just a bunch of thrown-together stories, many from her personal life and others from listeners. It is incredibly repetitive, difficult to follow due to her skipping back and forth over the years, and focuses on her emotions. Namely, it lacks a lot of substance but could be inspiring for the kind of person who likes the Chicken Soup books (though this isn't even as good as those).

Her stories aren't particularly interesting because she charts everything in her life by the birth and adoption of her children, and the death of her immediate family members. Her then-husband gets a huge backseat, barely even mentioned. She talks often of getting fired or quitting jobs--but it's always in the context of her feelings and relationships.

It's all written in a way that is somewhat unorganized and difficult to understand (though she uses the "to everything there is a season" verses from Ecclesiastes as an outline). She skips back and forth across the years--so in one chapter she has three kids and a husband, then in the next chapter it's a story from when she was single with a son, then it skips to her faith helping her through losing a job and then back to before she was a Christian.

She doesn't go into much depth about her faith and in the end you get the feeling that she is hiding reality under her feelings. She would probably say she chooses to focus on the uplifting aspects of life, but she never really opens up to make you feel like you know her any better than her on-air personna.

For the right person this book would be great. So if you are a die-hard Delilah addict, love syrupy stories that don't have much point and are very emotional, this will probably touch you. This won't tell you much about a career in radio, living in the many places she has been or even how to deal with the difficulties of having eight children. Those that are expecting more from her will be disappointed.

i think this book is amazing along with the author delilah i have had the privladge of listening to her for years actually almost 11 years now and i have called and talked to her a couple of times. She is an amazing women and an inspiration to women everywhere!!!

Delilah, a radio show host, gives us encouragement and inspiration as she tells us things that have happened in her life; plus, she shares stories of some of her listeners and friends.

I admire Delilah, as a woman who believes in and loves God, as her example as a mother, and as what she appears to be as a person.

Delilah hasn't always had it easy, but yet she appears to be a dynamic person. This book is wonderful. If you are going through or have gone through a rough time, either physically or emotionally or both, this book will encourage and inspire you. And if everything is going good for you, this book is also for you. This book is awesome and wonderful.

I just finished Love Someone Today, and I have to say that it was a wonderful book. Delilah and her listeners made me laugh, they made me cry, and they made me reflect on the gifts I have in my life and the awesome people that I know and love. I recommend Love Someone Today to everyone. It was great!

From the minute I picked it up, I was addicted to this book. Delilah is a truly inspiring person. The book made me think of my son, and how I should be using the precious time I have spend with him, rather than worrying about bills, laundry, etc. The book is all about "gifts of time" as Delilah calls them. It really gave me a new perspective on this crazy life.

I found this book just when I needed it! Once I started to read it I couldn't put it down. It warmed my heart and made me cry over and over again. I hope everyone gives themselves the gift of taking the time to read this inspiring take on life.
