I have been an Alan Parsons Project (APP) fan for nearly 30 years, and I think that this collection represents many of the best mellow "love" songs produced by APP. So, if what you are looking for are some nice relaxing songs, then buy this collection, I believe you'll enjoy it.

At the same time, however, if you buy only APP collections like this one, or the APP all time best instrumentals, etc., you will miss out on the overall strength of APP music - the concept album.

FYI - Most APP albums are concept albums based on a central theme. E.g., Tales of Mystery and Imagination (the works of Edgar Allen Poe), I Robot (works of Asimov), Turn of a Friendly Card (Gambling), Pyramid (New age view of Egyptology), Faces of Eve (Men and Women), On Air (Flight), and so on...

If you do buy this album and enjoy this flavor of music I encourage you to try some of the other APP albums. If you like this kind of music, some APP albums you may particularly enjoy include the following: Turn of a Friendly Card, Vulture Culture, Eye in the Sky, and Ammonia Avenue.

So, that's it...5 stars for great music, minus on star for the loss of the concept album you'd get otherwise.

I have bought most of these songs separately, and always back up and play them over at least once, singing along with a catch in my throat and tears in my eyes. These beautifully orchestrated lyrics are pure poetry and make the heart ache with the raw emotions they evoke. They are timeless and still affect me deeply after 20 years of hearing them. You can't go wrong with this or most of the other works of Alan Parsons.

Maybe I misinterpret the definition of a "love song," but I know all those tracks, and none of them seem too much like love songs. I will say though that they are mostly slow, almost melancholy songs at times, and they rock my socks off. The Alan Parsons Project is one of the best available bands.

I love these melochany songs with insights of finding the true meaning of life. Sad that loneliness is the theme in most of these song the writers have to overcome because of self doubt due to the world problems they face.

I love Alan Parsons and his music... I don't understand how some of the songs that are on this made it there, but won't complain. Makes for a good CD in the car.

It was a rainy day when I heard "Time" for the first, never more a song has impact to me the more, it is a hymn of true, love, vision, and hope. At this moment is raining, like that day, and the feeling is still the same, endeed I don't need to tell which is my favorite song, neither Alans Parson's collection or Love's colection will be complet without "Time".

This is masterpice album from Alan Parson Project.
But i dont think this is love song album, it seems close to melancholies song. Great Alan Parson Project.
