I've just listened to this disc in my car and was thinking to myself just how great the sound quality was. Then I read some of the other reviews below. Maybe these guys are deaf or hard of hearing? I dunno, but don't let them discourage you from getting this terrific CD. For starters, you've got the full-length album versions of every track, not the radio edits (notably "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" and "See Ya When I Get There"). Then you've got some excellent jazzier recordings from his Blue Note years (with a great duet version of "At Last" with Dianne Reeves). What's there not to love? If you were to get just one Lou Rawls CD, this is the one - enjoy.

I was so anxious to get this new collection but i was nervous about the mastering and just as i expected it was not digitally remastered.This Label is notorious for not digitally remastering there cds...case in point Kenny Rogers ultimate collection,produce by the same Label..with poor sound quality .This could have been a perfect masterpiece but these record companys are producing these cds on the cheap.Despite the lack of audiophile sound quality...the collection is worth getting if you are not as fussy as iam about sound quality.

Talk about talent. Lou Rawls had the most beautiful deep and smooth voice and this album shows the best of his best. His songs are great (although to me, there will never be another greater song than You'll Never Find ...). All the music here is brilliant and very very classic. It's good bedroom music or nice easy listening when you want to chill out. I think sometimes we forget how much material one performer has done until there are all these fantastic songs on one cd. Go get this to hear beautiful music sung with a beautiful voice.

Lou Rawls set the standard for every crooner of R and B love songs. There will always be people falling and out of love, so there will always be people who can relate to the music of Lou Rawls. My favorite track is the classic You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine. Lady Love is another highlight here. It is one of those songs that just makes you feel good. Love Is A Hurtin Thing is another great track. This is a song about the pain of a lost love. I enjoyed Lou's rendition of the song Unforgettable. The piano playing on this track compliments Lou's silky smooth voice nicely. At Last is a beautiful duet with Dianne Reeves. It is one of my favorite tracks, because it is so romantic. Lou's voice is so sensual and soothing on the track Be Anything But Mine. His voice conveys what it really feels like to yearn for love on this song. I enjoyed listening to this CD very much.

always been a Lou Rawls fan. the soul Brother is underrated in alot of ways because he never gets his full due with the depth&Strength of His voice."You'll never find a love like mine is a timeless classic. Lady Love is the cut as well. from his days singing with Sam Cooke,also with Les MCann&then onward with Gamble&Huff with the Philly sound Lou Rawls is very versatile&His voice stays on point.

This is undoubtedly a superb compilation of Lou Rawls' most romantic recordings for the Philadelphia International and Blue Note Records. Unfortunately, the sound quality on most of these tracks leaves plenty to be desired--it's all too obvious that The Right Stuff (unlike other reissue labels like Rhino, Sony Legacy and BMG Heritage) does not give a high priority to the proper digital remastering of their reissues. That aside, this is one CD you'll definitely want to play as background music during a romantic candlelight dinner for two.

I was so happy to find this CD. when I lost my orignial CD I did not think I would be able to replace it.

This is one of the most beautiful CD's Lou Rawls has ever recorded. It is perfect for someone who is in love and wants to share it with that special someone. I was very pleased with this purchase.

Lou Rawls has a great voice, but guess this is just too "night-clubby" for our taste. Thought this would be more of a blues album, instead of a cocktail room scene. This is okay if you like that sound, just wasn't prepared for the music...should have researched it more I guess.
