a Strong must Have,
This review is from: Love Songs (Audio CD)
this Brother Laid something on these Songs.Soulful&on top of His Game.He was in tune to the times&Vibe.I have these songs on various J5&MJ Solo Compilations&they still sound fresh to this day.start to finish you hear a Artist on top of His game.a Must have.the Arrangements&Production fit Him to a "T".when you hear "Who's Loving You" for instance you gotta remind yourself He wasn't even a Teenager when He sung that Song with such Force&Drive.MJ bringing the SOul.also the timing of this Album couldn't be better because "Invincible" one of it's Strong Points is that it Showcases MJ doing Slow-Jams really well.and this Set Points this out.

Michael and his love songs will sparkle in the heavens forever,

This review is from: Love Songs (Audio CD)
This collection of love songs by Michael Jackson demonstrates his genius at a rather tender age; and I'm extremely impressed. Michael could take anything and make it sound so beautiful; and his love songs are particularly good examples of that. This album features Michael in his natural element; he sings faultlessly and that's grand. He always gave blood to make his performances shine; and his adoring audiences loved him for it. The quality of the sound on this CD is excellent and I like that artwork, too.
"Who's Lovin' You" has Michael singing with The Jackson 5; they make this fantastic with their sophisticated phrasing--and wow, how Michael's vocals stand out as being so special! His excellent diction enhances his performance all the more; I love it. "Who's Lovin' You" also uses the keyboard and percussion to great advantage. "A Fool for You" is very beautiful; Michael's voice is in excellent form and this song is memorable, to say the least. "Everybody's Somebody's Fool" gets the royal treatment from Michael; he sings his part to perfection--and beyond! The others sing and harmonize very well; and it makes for a very strong yet beautiful number that's also easy on the ear. "Got to Be There" was one of Michael's very biggest early hits; and the rest of the family singers shine brightly as they give him outstanding backup. Michael hits those high notes seemingly effortlessly. Of course, we know it really wasn't all that easy--Michael's talent always carried him through. "We've Got a Good Thing Going" has a terrific sound and beat to it; Michael delivers this like the pro he was and still remains! "We've Got a Good Thing Going" is easily a major highlight of this album. "You Are There" stuns me with its natural beauty; Michael sings this with all his heart and soul; the music is just right for this number. Wisely, however, the musicians never try to steal the show away from Michael--he stands squarely front and center right where he belongs! "One Day in Your Life" is also very poignant and I love that melody--what a gorgeous number this is! "Wings of My Love" charms me with its beauty; Michael sings this flawlessly and he is amazingly able to convey all the subtle nuances of the lyrics as he sings them. The strings are used to great advantage on "Wings of My Love," too. The album ends wonderfully with Michael as a member of The Jackson 5; they perform "I'll Be There" better than any group could ever have done it. Incredible! Michael Jackson may not be with us anymore; but clearly he lives on through his music. This is a wonderful album for his fans; and it's also a great introductory CD for people just discovering the magical artistry of Michael Jackson. Rest in peace, Michael! We will always love you!

This CD is part of a of Motown Valentine's Day series of "Love Songs." As a substitute for a dozen roses, are a dozen love songs. Avid fans will enjoy the rare front and back cover photographs. Nearly one third of all The Supremes top forty hits included the word love, but here the emphasis is on album tracks and B sides. Of the former, the best selection is The Music That Makes Me Dance, from the yet to be released on CD The Supremes Sing And Perform Funny Girl. Upon hearing this track wonders, why? The Supremes were no strangers to the Bob Merrill & Jule Styne songbook having performed I Am Woman and People from the early days of their careers.Other compilations over the years have included I'm The Greatest Star, If A Girl Isn't Pretty, an alternate version of People with leads by Florence Ballard and Diana and I Am Women in the At The Copa album. Mary Wilson fans will enjoy her sexy lead vocals on Can't Take My Eyes Of You. Their interpertation of Rodgers & Hart's Lover is fresh and lively. From the More Hits By The Supremes album are Mary Wells covers, the joyous Honey Boy and Whisper You Love Me Boy, the popular B side of Back In My Arms Again, the classic Stop! In The Name of Love and B side I'm In Love Again. In addition to the title cut and single from their I Hear A Symphony album the collection includes Everything Is Good About You which Diana sings with conviction. It is fitting the collection concludes with the swan song Someday We'll Be Together.

The younger Michael is just as good as the older,

While most Michael fans like his more grown up voice, I prefer his younger voice. I bought this album back in 2002 not knowing any song on it. I just wanted to take a chance and I fell in love. His voice is just as powerful like his current and Michael just sings to you from his heart. My favorite song off the album is "Wings Of My Love" because I love the music in the back ground and Michael sings it to make you feel like he is takeing you high on the wings of his love. Every Mike fan must own his albums from his J5 and Motown solo days before they can own his stuff from the 80s. Michael will forever have me stuck on this album.

There was one particular song that I heard and could not find it anywhere. "We're Almost There" and once I heard the rest of the songs, I can't stop playing this CD. It brought back a lot of great memories growing up listening to Michael Jackson.

Nice Compliation of Love Songs,

This CD is a nice compilation of love songs by former Motown label-mates, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. While it certainly isn't inclusive of all of their hits, it does contain a nice artist alternating list of 16 love songs.
