I find it hard to believe nobody has reviewed Love Spit Love...maybe they're too busy watching MTV. This singer's voice is so heavenly he could read novels as song and still remind me of a bird of paradise I once saw in New Guinea after a rainstorm- this music will make you dance in the dark, meditate, and walk in the cold night w/ your eyes searching out stars. It's a commentary on the brutality of capitalism & a searing, dispairing way of getting through it...or losing yourself in the gutter puddles trying to. Daggerlike irony & exhileration- that's Love Spit Love. But when he plays live, he should lose the packet of cigarettes so the voice lingers.Longer.

a classic that works on every level. Powerful, electrifying, moody, soothing, ecstatic songs performed by advanced musicians who seem inspired by their virtuoso leader.There is nothing stale or unoriginal on this work. It is explosive, accomplished rock like nothing else. Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Great, different music that Furs fans and non-fans will love,

I guess I lived in a cave in the 80s because I never heard too much of the Psychedelic Furs, Richard Butler's old band. But when I heard the Love Spit Love songs, "Change in the Weather" and "Am I Wrong," I fell in love with Richard Butler, Love Spit Love and the Psychedelic Furs. His voice is so different than any other singer and the music is different and exciting. The lyrics are intriguing. I had the hardest time finding this cd a few years back, and now it's easy to get here. I highly recommend that you give this band a chance. You won't be disappointed!
