Grade 6-12 The glitz and glitter of show business is, once again, the subject of a teen romance-style story. Valerie has had so many lessons, auditions, commercials and television shows to contend with that she hasn't had time for a "normal" life. When handsome Tom notices her, she is afraid to tell him about her "real" self, and consequently, when he finds out, the romance endstemporarily. Her father hasn't cared about her all these years, but he shows up claiming that was all a mistake. Her mother is a witch, but she changes, and Valerie gets a part in a television series (the star, of course), but she wants to go to college. Okay...ummmm this was a really really good book. I had to do this project where you turn a book into a movie...and well, I wanted something to do with acting. Then this book came up! It is really good if you're into acting also. And some of it is based on a true story. I will say that it is one of the best books that I've ever read. I really think you should read it. Well, later.
