Great,

Caesar's Palace, The Caesars, The Twelve Caesars - they're all the same group. They go by different names depending on location - Twelve Caesars in most of Scandinavia, The Caesars in North America, and Caesar's Palace in Sweden, most of europe, and the rest of the world.
They currently have five albums: 39 Minutes of Bliss (as The Caesars) Paper Tigers (as The Caesars) Youth Is Wasted On The Young (as The Twelve Caesars) Cherry Kicks (as Caesar's Palace) Love For The Streets (as Caesar's Palace) I hope this helps clarify some things. I give EVERY SINGLE ALBUM five out of five stars - great vocals, great leads, great base, great melodies, great everything. If you like rock, don't pass this up.

This is one album that is in my top 5.It is a blend of modern and 60's underground rock nearly the entire ablum contains great music, although 1,000 mile stare is not great but it is passable. sadly this has not been released in the US but if you can afford it this would be a great addition to anyone's collection

Any rock fan MUST get this,

I am a lover of many genres of music, and although rap and heavy metal are my personal favorites, I was awestruck after listening to Love for the Streets. After hearing the awesome track "Jerk It Out", and went out and got this CD - for the price of import, it paid itself ten times over. Every track on this album is golden, and never lets down. Any fan of alternative or punk rock, especially oldies alternative (or ANY kind of rock for that matter!) will love the special nostalgic sub-genre that has been forged by Caesar's Palace, a throw-back to the loose classic tunes of the 60s. A MUST get.

If you are a fan of music or the band Caesars, this is the album for you. It is one of their first albums and prob the greatest. They were called Caesars Palace before changing their name to Caesars. Caesars Palace won best new artist at the Swedish Grammys.

Sadly, "Love For The Streets" is one of the GREATEST power-pop records from across the Atlantic to NOT see a release here in the U.S.! And to add insult to injury, only one track from this album was included on the band's American compilation "39 Minutes Of Bliss (In An Otherwise Meaningless World)." It didn't let Americans in on the fact that "Love For The Streets" is filled from beginning to end with incredible songs. Like I said, a total power-pop powerhouse!
Caesars Palace became The Caesars in the U.S. for obvious reasons, (their debut was released here in 1998 under the monikier The Twelve Caesars). The track featured on "39 Minutes..." from this album was none other than the infectious "Jerk It Out." The song was a hit in Sweden, then it was given mass exposure here in the U.S. via an Apple I-Pod commercial. Because of that exposure the song was remixed and included on their second U.S. release (actually their fourth in Sweden) "Paper Tigers" in the spring of 2005. In the confusing mess of the issuing and re-issuing, only diehard American fans have got to hear "Jerk It Out" in it's original setting, in between "Cheap Glue" and "Burn The City Down" on "Love For The Streets" which is where the song fits best. "Love For The Streets" blasts right off into orbit with the first track "Over 'Fore It Started." An opening track to obliterate all opening tracks, "Over 'Fore It Started" is the DEFINING example of power-pop in the Millenium age! All the right ingredients are there: an incredible danceable drum driven beat, an unforgettable pop melody accented with a soaring harmony laden chorus that's so good, one like it probably hasn't been heard since the 1960s! Try not to go absolutely crazy to this one...just try. Ultimately, you'll fail! "Love For The Streets" then takes off from that point and never looks back (that is if you can stop playing the first cut repeatedly). The album rips through such insanely catchy tunes like "Candy Kane," "Mine All Of The Time," "Let My Freak Flag Fly," "Cheap Glue," and of course, "Jerk It Out." The album then takes an acoustic breather which will confirm to listeners that The Caesars like Simon and Garfunkel. "Burn The City Down" is no less catchy than the rockers featured on the album and it is beautiful in it's gentle and warm delivery. If this was a vinyl record, that would be the end of Side One. Side Two starts out with another exquisite power-popper, the self-pity filled "Do Nothing." The second side ultimately features the harder rocking tracks as witnessed by the fast tempos of "Fifteen Minutes Too Late," and "Black Heart." "I Gun For You" is the slowest number on the album but it pounds and throbs like a terror filled heartbeat. The album concludes with a spacy instrumental titled "Thousand Mile Stare" which features a heavily echoed wah-wah pedal effect on the guitar, wordless multi-layered harmonies and tablas droning away beneath it all. The album is now over; time to hear it again! As satisfying as their next release "Paper Tigers" is, "Love For The Streets" remains the masterpiece so far. There is not one bad song in the whole batch. With every era, there are those few bands that want to keep real rock and roll alive, and whether they be well known or not, The Caesars are the band to do it for this era. If you want to hear some of the best rock and roll of the Millenium look no further than "Love For The Streets" by Caesars Palace a.k.a The Caesars!

Love for the Streets ~ Caesar's Palace,
By Bjorn Viberg (European Union) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Love for the Streets (Audio CD)
Love for the Streets~ Caesar's Palace is an ok album that never rises beyond mediocracy and therefore I give it three stars our of five. The vocals are alright but sound like they are pressing a bit much. The music sounds like anyother rock band but the sound is muffled and it sounds like it was recorded in one of their friends basements and the sound of the instrument is way below what is considered ok for well produced album. The cover and font is a trainwreck and the book-let looks like a nine year old kid created it. The music is like I said just ok and the vocals and lyrics are likewise so it gets three stars and that is all it deserves.
