Yes, this movie is not wonderfully acted and some of the dialogue is cheesy but the message is still there. The relationship between the girls is REAL and the love-making scene is beautifully and tastefully done. I was not excited by the ending but don't let that stop you from watching it. It tells a valuable story. There are women and girls out there that are possibly living a lie or still questioning their sexuality and this shows the extreme of living as someone you are not and the importance of living your life proudly.

This is NOT just another lesbian movie. It is a very powerful movie about a girl having to make a lot of tough decisions. She has to choose between the desires of her mother and her own desires. She has to choose between continuing an old life she had lived before that felt right, or this new life that although is filled with romance and adventure, seems like a sin to her. She has to choose between dealing with the pressure to conform and fit in, or being different but mocked and ridiculed.

Although the movie takes place in New Orleans, the story is one that can happen in any city or any society. It had me trying to put myself in the characters shoes, to find that there are no good guys or bad guys, just people whose misunderstanding of each other leads to a lot of heart ache and tragedy.

This should be watched with someone you care about, maybe a parent or a child. The musical store greatly adds to the impact of the film

I was expecting a lot more from this film, having read good reviews. While the plot was good, the acting was horrible. It seemed like a high school student made it. Not entertaining at all.

The acting in this movie is so horrible I could hardly stand it. I think only a teenager could believe anything about this was acceptable, not to mention entertaining. It's about teenagers anyway, painful and gross. I never want to be that hideous age again, and I sure don't want to watch such an annoying production about it. Horrible filming and sound; very poor quality EVERYTHING.

This was a very good movie that is based on a true story. The acting isn't that great, and a little cheezy at times but the main idea is there. Its a sad story of course but I think its meaning speaks for itself. If hollywood would have made this movie it would have been as big as brokeback mountain.

This movie is one of the best movies for lesbians ever made. It's about two girls who falls in love with each other and are forced to deny their feelings because of society. Kaye goes through a hard decision of choosing either her family or her lover (Emily). She end up choosing her family and Emily gets devasted...Theres more...But Their love is so pure and real. I just can relate to them because i somewhat experienced what they did.It is just a great movie...

Well, I got the chanve to see "Love and Suicide" and the fact that it is a true story gives it to me a different expectation. The acting is ok, but the message, and all the things these girls went through just to keep their relation is great! For me, watching this type of movies makes me see life differently, that are people out there who can be having a harder life, but still they keep fighting for what they believe and want, and this movie helps you to realise that.

An excellent film that goes straight to the heart. Terrific acting by all, espically the two lead ladies. I wasn't expecting the film to end the way it did; suprised me. The director; who also wrote the film, did a great job avoiding the gloss that goes with hollywood films. I highly recommend love & suicide to anyone who wants to a watch a realistic film about young love & teen pressure.

This movie is shot like a porno (minus the sex). The acting was terrible, the film and sound quality were appalling and the dialogue was laughable. It's actually quite sad as I think the premise of the movie was actually quite good. The storyline had a lot of potential but the execution ruined it.

Okay, I rented this on a whim, my random movie pick ya know how it is? It seemed entertaining, but I wasn't expecting much. I was surprised. It was poignant. Sure the filming quality isn't the same as Hollywood, and the acting isn't exactly oscar(not grammy as I stupidly put the first time) warranted, but it was good. There's someone who complained about it depicted lesbians and suicide. I don't know, it just seems like it's telling of one story. Not like it's trying to make the movie out as truth to all lesbian relationships. Anyway, I just thought it was a good movie, that's it.
