But when it finds Sterling and Alyssa, they are not prepared!! This story was AWESOME!! I never thought of Alyssa and Sterling together but their affair was passionate, loving and sweet all into one. Sterling was a great guy and deserved someone who would appreciate that in him. Alyssa was close to her father and I'm not surprised she found someone who was just like him. Adrianne is a great storyteller. No matter the subject. She has the ability to make a novel sensual, sexxy ,and sweet all at one time. Not many writers have that ability down to a science like Adrianne. I'm always at the end of my seat waiting for her next novel. Once again Great job!!!

I have waited so long for Alyssa to grow up so her story can be told. And when she comes home from a fashion shoot to attend her father's wedding, the man of her countless dreams and a few fantasies one Quenton Dwayne Hinton doesn't even recognize her--ahh but when he does, he is unaware that someone else is recognizing her too. Adrianne does such a great job with this book, she had me torn between who I wanted Alyssa to be with. It was such a great read, steamy scenes as only Adrianne does. I finished it in a matter of hours. Great Job Adrianne!!!

I agree with the other reviewers about this being a hot story. Now I am too ready to read about the last Hinton brother Quentin! Adrianne chose the right title for this book 'Love Takes Time' and it did for Alyssa and Sterling!

The Hinton men are HOT!!! Alyssa was bound and determined to get her man. She got more than she had ever hoped for. The love scenes were Adrianne's steamy best, as usual.

This book is a page tuner. I love the fact that she brought back Toni and Jonas in the story. This book will have you guessing who she will end up with. This book will make you laugh and cry. Alyssa is like Cinderella who finally found her prince.

I originally read this in Dec 2010, but after reading King's Passion I had to come back and re-read this book to remember what went down between Sterling, Quentin, & Alyssa, and what a story it was! I always felt that Quentin would straighten himself out, and him and Alyssa could be, but of course that didn't happen. Sterling and Alyssa had such a powerful connection, especially in the bedroom. This book had some really hot love scenes, that make you feel like you are actually there with them, experiencing it as well (Kudos Ms. Byrd).

After reading another person's review that Sterling was 21yrs older than Alyssa, I did find the relationship a bit creepy (after the fact) since that would really put him around the same age as her father, who Sterling was good friends with. I know they kept saying their was an age difference between them, but I thought maybe 10yrs or so, not 21! That is the only damper about this book, other than that it was a gr8 read.

but it's a bit of a rip off from the movie Sabrina! Still it was entertaining.

By the way, Sterling is about 21 years older or slightly more than Alyssa. Quentin was exactly 20 years older (info given in Feel the fire).

Well I must say I lost a lot of beauty sleepy trying to finish this book
Adrianne did her thing in 'Love takes time' I totally fell in love with Sterling.and like the title says it took my man Sterling time to figure out he loved Alyssa. But it was worth it, I almost cried when his eyes got cloudy when he spotted Alyssa dancing with Quentin. it was a great story and she always give a little twist every time, I'd get in good with the plot she'd switch back to Quentin. I wanted to scream! cause I was excited to what happened next.ooh I wanted to cheat so bad and flip through the pages... But I didn't.

I have loved so many of Ms. Byrd's books. She can spin a story like no other. I loved not really knowing how the end was going to play out. I loved the "Love Triangle", but I am so glad things turned out like I wanted them to...LOL OMG, I cannot wait for the next installment.I read this so fast, I could not put it down!!!!!

I could not wait to get this book. Not only did I get it from Adrianne Byrd, mine was autographed. The story was excellent and I finished it in one day. I have been waiting for Allisa to grow up so I could find out if she wound up with Quentin. Quentin was not ready for her but Sterling sure was. I loved the story line and they way it ended. You never know what's right in front of you.
