This is a beautiful and lovingly done collection of Emoto's water crystal photos. Most of the pages are simply a large color picture with a brief description of the circumstances of the image. The focus is on positive and vibrant images (the result of water molecules taking on and reflecting the vibrations of events, symbols, printed words, pictures and sounds) with only very few showing the contrast of ugly aborted crystals. I'm pretty excited and blown away by the implication of all this. Many of these pictures seem sublimely profound and magical in their expression. Sometimes I wonder if its too good to be true, but it is beautiful and life changing none the less.

This book is basically a non-denominational guide and primer on the power of prayer, positive thought and the unity of humanity's spiritual yearning and traditions. It is a visual celebration of life and our intricate and immediate connections.

Given Mr. Emoto's spectacular photographic evidence and the power of his own personal convictions - the mere act of reading his book and looking at his pictures makes the reader a better person. One might think that the effect would begin to become less exciting, but it never seems to. The inclusion of his grandchild and kitten is, as always, irresistible. I found the reports from praying adults about how they are most comfortable especially interesting. Meanwhile, the local water, despite alleged benefits of our water treatment facilities, leaves us with highly polluted water anyhow. So, we've been labeling our water and ourselves with the word "love" and conducting our own experiments with the water that we use - including bottled water and wash water. Just imagine if we can actually love ourselves to a 60-70% capacity! If enough people do this - and then love our neighbors too - even our politicians (whether we favor them politically or not) - we COULD change the world - we CAN change it - little by little. First a couple of people, then more, then more - finally the 100th monkey, so to speak. What's to lose? Let's try.

Stunning pictures. If you haven't read his other books don't start here. This is more the visual display of the other books. Knowing about his work allows the pictures in this book speak for themselves.

The beautiful photos in the book show how water looks like when assigned certain words. For example, the word "harmony" gave the water a specific symmetrical shape. It seemed that negative words gave water asymmetrical shapes which were disrupted and imperfect.

Water is affected by our thoughts (imagine how other living things and other matter is affected also). Our thoughts and emotions are powerful. We can manifest anything we want. Make it positive.

Thankfully, there is alot of original, Spiritual and New Age Material available with the expansion of the Information Age. It is perhaps true that many of us now have been applying Spiritual teachings in our lives, and recognizing Fundamental Truths and Laws of the Universe as part of our own daily life experiences, and may not NEED physical proof or "evidence" of the powers that are contained in our own bodies, minds, and spirits. But for those people that still may need (or just enjoy) to witness Spiritual principles in physical form, "Messages from Water III" (and all Emoto's works) provides such "evidence" of our true power as people to create the world we live in. For those already accepting of such power, Emoto's beautiful photo images of his inspired water crystals resonate with that part of one's higher Self that is beyond language and all forms.

I now believe in sending out good vibes to people, places and things. This book is very inspiring.

this research on water is deeply revealing of the function of love in our world.it empowers us to change energies around us and make our environment cleaner and pure without spending a cent!!refreshing!!

As I know this book in french, and German,I did choice the english version as gift for a friend. It's for me the best way to demonstrate how important is to have always good thoughts, and good emotions, as we give them up around us, to the persons, the plants, the animals, the nature, the univers. Also how important it is, to let come on us cleaning thinks, water included, an how important it is, to protect our planet.

This subject matter has intrigued me for a long time and I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on this book. As it turned out, it was a good thing I had read about the topic beforehand because this particular book has not been written 'stand alone'; it seems to depend greatly on readers' prior knowledge of the core premise. So it's not an ideal Emoto first buy.

I was also (and I feel oddly guilty saying this) a bit disappointed by the apparent lack of objectivity of the author. He seems to have a very fluid and artistic mind, which is wonderful and valuable, but it meant that a scientific perspective was conspicuously lacking. Now the scientific method isn't everything, but to be persuasive this fascinating and potentially world-changing subject matter needs some basic methodological rigour. This was not apparent.

For example, there are many photos of selected crystals - i.e. the results of each experiment - but no mention of the presumably hundreds of other crystals that could also have been chosen but were not. What were they like? Why was this particular one chosen to represent the 'result'? Without that information one wonders if it was perhaps just the best representation - that is, experimenter bias, leading to a self-fulfilling prophesy. I would have liked to know much more about these basics, because I would really love for this to all be true(!) but it's so hard to judge without a dash of rigour.

Also, the author makes many creative interpretive leaps as to what each crystal represents. He may be right (I hope so) but I wanted a little more in the way of facts and logic so that I could make my own judgement and, hopfeully, be equally as enthralled rather than left doubting.

When I first collected this book from the library, I was a bit disappointed by the meagre amount of text, as compared to his other books. (It contains parallel Japanese and English text.) However, halfway through the book I found I was thoroughly enjoying it.

The main content of the book is marvellous water crystal photos accompanied by short texts. The basic theme is prayer and its effect on water as shown by the water crystals. Various prayer experiments on water are described, and we are shown the resulting crystals. It turns out that prayer with the subjects putting their palms together in the traditional manner forms more beautiful crystals than when they hold hands in a circle while praying.

Emoto encourages us to examine our feelings when examining the photos. The photos of the crystal-making attempts in polluted water felt evil to me, and often seemed to bear a distinct and diabolical face. This was also true of water exposed to negative words.

The pure spirit of the author makes this book a joy to read. (There is a commentary at the end of the book, where he explains his thoughts and work.)

The book is entitled "Love thyself", Emoto's message being that if first we love ourselves, then we will subsequently be able to love others, and eventually the whole world will be transformed by love.

I thoroughly recommend this book!
