Give Love A Chance, October 11, 2010
This review is from: Love for Tomorrow (Second Chance at Love #2) (Paperback)
Serenity Williams cannot believe that her fiance has decided that he does not want to get married only a week before their wedding. Pastor Michael Randolph refuses to allow his soon-to-be wife to overshadow him and his ministry. Serenity has a popular Christian talk show and is reaching far more people than Michael. With that, they call off their engagement and Serenity swears she will never date another pastor. When Serenity's producer requests that she interview an up and coming pastor, she looks at this as her opportunity to out all pastors as being egotistical and full of themselves. Pastor Phillip McKnight is anything but those things, which shocks Serenity. For some reason she is totally drawn to him, but she remembers her pact to never date another pastor. Phillip makes it extremely hard, with his humble spirit and honesty. Just coming off a horrible divorce, he too, wants nothing to do with a serious relationship. But love has a funny way of showing up when you least expect it. Will Serenity and Phillip find love again in Vanessa Miller's A LOVE FOR TOMORROW?
Miller stays true to her amazing delivery of representing God's love. A LOVE FOR TOMORROW has parts that will make your heart stop. The characters have qualities that are easy to relate to and you want nothing but the best for them. On top of the great love story, Miller is able to infuse some suspense. What more can you ask for? This is book two in the Second Chance At Love series. Do not hesitate to pick this up even if you have not read the first book for it stands alone.

Let Go and Let God, October 3, 2010
This review is from: Love for Tomorrow (Second Chance at Love #2) (Paperback)
A Love for Tomorrow by Vanessa Miller is a story that deals with past pains, life missions and learning to let go and move forward. In this novel, Serenity Williams, an evangelist who has grown up in a ministerial family, has seen the good, and what she believes are some of the worst things about being committed to people. These very things are why Serenity Williams has chosen the ministry route that she has, reaching and pouring into the hearts of many. Serenity's ability to touch lives at the same time remaining untouched, lead to her many emotional and relationship struggles. In addition to a family event Serenity witnessed in her youth, supporting characters Michael Randolph and Philip McKnight will help readers to understand Serenity's complexity.
I enjoyed reading this selection. My favorite character is Phillip McKnight. I think it was mostly because of his "been there, done that" mentality, and his patience and heart to really yearn to do what is right in the eyes of God. I closed this book believing that each character realized a lot about themselves and each other, and that they each had somehow grown for their own past experiences.
This book is very entertaining, touching upon issues such as "women in the pulpit," letting go of past emotional hurts and learning to live and love again. I would read other selections authored by Ms. Miller.

A romantic sigh, August 14, 2010
This review is from: Love for Tomorrow (Second Chance at Love #2) (Paperback)
Vanessa Miller keeps getting better and better with this romantic stuff in her series. I enjoy a happy ending and A Love for Tomorrow delivers. If a man needs pointers on how to romance a woman, ask Phillip. Two hints: gift card and dressing room. That's all I've got to say!
I cheered on Serenity as she refused to settled for less, and I loved how she depicted the life of a preacher's kid (PK).
