5.0 out of 5 stars Kelsy's most requested!
My 14 month old daughter loves this book! It has surpassed her all time favorites, "I Love You As Much" and "Goodnight Moon", as the one she most often requests AND I actually get to finish reading all of the words (if I read them quickly enough) before she wants to turn the pages! 3.0 out of 5 stars Eh.
This book is for parents, not for children. It is excessively sentimental, and while the illustrations are pretty, they bear little relationship to the content. The words don't rhyme, scan, or have a strong rhythm, and the vocabulary is not aimed at young children.

It's sweet, but does not hold a candle to "I Love You Forever".

My 14 month old daughter loves this book! It has surpassed her all time favorites, "I Love You As Much" and "Goodnight Moon", as the one she most often requests AND I actually get to finish reading all of the words (if I read them quickly enough) before she wants to turn the pages! She especially likes to linger over the pages with the butterflies and the birds on them so she can point to them and say, "What's that, what's that?" before she coyly repeats "budda" and "booid". At first, I had a hard time catching the rhythm of all of the phrases, as they don't all rhyme, but now that I know them so well, they flow from my tongue beautifully!

4.0 out of 5 stars Kleenex required!, July 14, 2000

Having discovered this little cardboard (childproof!)book only yesterday at a Book Baby Shower for a co-worker, I am ordering it tonight for my soon-to-be 21-year-old daughter's birthday! Its bright graphical accompaniment to a very emotionally touching yet simple text will appeal to the youngest of children while challenging their mothers to read it in a non-quavering voice! :-) Whether you are a brand-new parent or someone whose child is celebrating a milestone birthday, this book will remind your child just how very much he or she is loved. Unexpectedly, this little book brought tears to the eyes of many seasoned mothers and professional women at the shower we gave for our colleague! Can't wait to see my daughter's face when she reads it and knows that no matter how old she gets, she'll always be my darling baby girl!

This is our 21 month old daughter's favorite book and I must admit, it's my favorite too! It's beautifully illustrated and written. I highly recommend it as a gift for baby showers and for new parents.

This is a sweet book with a simple rhyming text. It expresses in just a few words how many parents feel about their children and makes a great new baby gift. It is sure to bring a tear to any new mother's eye!

This may seem like a book just for little girls but I read it my 21 month old son every night before bed. He knows the story by heart already and always gives me a kiss in just the right part of the story. This story will bring you closer to your child in such a nice way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, January 9, 2007
This review is from: I Love You Very (Board book)
I love this book. I already have one but wanted to give one for a gift. It is a simple story that has great warmth. Unfortunately, I believe it is out of print and difficult to find. If you can find it in person, buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A warm, touching rhyme., November 4, 2000
This review is from: I Love You Very (Board book)
My two-year old daughter loves this book. When I read it to her now, she recites it along with me, and it just fills me up. I dare you to read it aloud the first number of times without a catchy voice.
