5.0 out of 5 stars A truely moving score, very luss and full of life., July 8, 1999

This review is from: In Love And War (1996 Film) (Audio CD)
In Love and War was a very moving story about Ernest Hemminway's real romance. The film needed an equally moving score that centered on the romance, not the war. George Fenton has done this and much more. He has captured and framed the very essence of this film in every note of his score, down to the very last. He cared enough to make it so when you watch this story unfold you don't hear the music you just feel it pop out at you, at the most unexpected places. He is more of a felt film composer, not trying to be epic or grand but doing just that without seeming to know he is. That proves it is more important to be felt than heard by the whole world.
