4.0 out of 5 stars Can You Say... Slept On?
How this industry works I will never know. People like Ashanti and Beyonce are making millions selling songs about absolutely nothing, while great singers like Jerzee Monet and Tweet are slept on miserably. Jerzee Monet tells stories of love and war... and she paints a picture with her music. Her songs are meaningful and you know that this is true from the second you hear...

3.0 out of 5 stars Jerzee Monet takes us through Love & War through sound
This cd is one of the most slept on cds for 2002 most definetly. Jerzee Monet was definetly on her own style and had soemthign different going on to every one else out now. her voice is light at times but deep and driect at other times which makes her different...unique singing style. Now to the music...whats good? Most High(This is one of the best tracks with and without...

How this industry works I will never know. People like Ashanti and Beyonce are making millions selling songs about absolutely nothing, while great singers like Jerzee Monet and Tweet are slept on miserably. Jerzee Monet tells stories of love and war... and she paints a picture with her music. Her songs are meaningful and you know that this is true from the second you hear the single "Most High". However, Not even DMX appearing on her CD could save it from the wraths of flop-dom which so many potential-classic CD's suffer. In my opinion, buy this CD. I saw it used for only 25 cents... Though it's worth much more then that. Hopefully Jerzee will come out with a second CD, despite the poor sales of her first one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Debut.., December 12, 2003

I really feel bad because folks really slept on Jerzee Monet. I mean she yelled for attention with the message from Most High. "FAMILY SHOULD BE HIGH".. How could you miss that? Plus she was very cute in the face and had a unusual but sexy voice. I purchased her CD for my love of Most High alone and I was not disappointed. I think this CD is a must have for any collection, all the ballads are very well sung as well as the fast songs... Just a few of my favorite numbers are 1,3,& 4......

4.0 out of 5 stars New Artist Jerzee Monet !!, July 21, 2002

...the album is kinda good for a New Artist with a hot song out now "Most High" with DMX,I love this song, she is really concered with todays young people as well you can tell from that song, she even have another song called "Respect" this is some of the things she say on this song she say "I never talked back to my mother/I always knew what a childs place was" and the chorus goes like this "if you want to learn respect/you gotta give respect/you gotta show the world what it is/if you want to get respect/you gotta give respect and share it with everyone that lives" what poweful words.

I do recommend jerzee Monet CD,it has something for everyone and for a price of [$$]you cant beat it,the only fall back I would say is that I wish some of the songs where longer to really show her vocals because she can sing and have a nice voice.

5.0 out of 5 stars wow, July 22, 2002

Please dont sleep on this album, it is amazing. The debut album from Jerzee Monet is very powerful and moving. However, i think it will supprise most people who hear it. From hearing the first single, Most High, i assumed Jerzee was some sort of a gospel singer. While all her songs have a slow, could-be gospel beat, more of her songs are about love and relationships than God. Her melodic voice flows very well over the mellow beats, and her guests (limited to Eve, Ja Rule, and DMX) mix well with Jerzee's style. If you like Most High, and other songs that have a true meaning to them and are actually written for a reason, you will love this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Individual, July 12, 2003

Jerzee Monet has her individual style.

I imported Monet's CD as it's not available in our country. It is different in the aspect that her songs cover a range of issues but they've been expressed in a way that people can listen and enjoy them.

Most High is a good song with meaningful lyrics. Respect follows the same tune. Tonight is the night is a sultry tune for evening. One of those days reminds me of Mary Mary's, In The Morning.

I enjoy the CD because of the funky to mid-tempo beats and the good lyrics.

5.0 out of 5 stars Robbed by Norah Jones!, May 11, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Love & War (Audio CD)
I absolutely loved Jerzee Monet the second I heard "Most High." I didn't actually plan on buying her album until I was in a record store and I noticed that "Love & War" was [very inexpensive]! This album was sooo amazing (every song) and she definitely deserved at least one Grammy! I respect Norah Jones' talent, but Jerzee Monet should have been in her position at this years Grammy's. Jerzee proves how stupid some people in the world are...they only buy music with no meaning as well as the music of sexy people. Ms. Monet is pretty, but she isn't exactly J. Lo...I hope this review helped some of you....

4.0 out of 5 stars Meaningful, April 8, 2011
This review is from: Love & War (Audio CD)
Jerzee's CD is a wonderful Blend of music you do not find on a regular basis. Currently we have to many Airheads with ample assets that get more air play then artist that have true talent. Anyone with a good sound guy can fix their voice to sound sellable. not many can sing without electronic assistance.
Jerzee is a true singer!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love & War, July 26, 2009
This review is from: Love & War (MP3 Download)
I really like Jerzee Monet, to me she's different. The sad thing is sometime after the release of Love and War she was dropped from her record label. For me this is one of the best r&b albums. She should of had more than one album. The songs on Love and War are amazing. When this album came out, I could relate to the songs. To this day the songs on Love and War mean a lot to me. I hope sometime Jerzee will come back with another album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really is...Love & War, May 24, 2008
This review is from: Love & War (Audio CD)
I absolutely adore this album. It's real life. This cd was so sadly overlooked and unpromoted!I really believe that if this album would have gotten more exposure, it would have been everbody's favorite cd. I don't care how old this cd is, when I pull it out and listen to it, it always feels brand new to me. Her message is positive and real. This album is so lovable but it was war getting it heard. Too bad for Jerzee...she could have been somebody big with the right management team.
