5.0 out of 5 stars The Funniest Movie Of Dan Aykroyds Career., October 25, 2002
This review is from: Love at First Sight [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Hilarious. The story of a blind man who falls in love with a woman who is 2 fries short of a happy meal. Anyone & everyone MUST see this movie! You'll laugh until you can't take it any more! An instant comedy classic. I have only 5 words... YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprizingly Excellent Romantic-Comedy, March 10, 2009

This review is from: Love at First Sight [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is the best film of Aykroyd's comedic career. Its a subtle dramatic comedy about a mechanic's daughter who falls in love with a blind boy. The comedy is better than Aykroyd's classic SNL material. Its a sweet small town/blue collar look at love. Some great one-liners too: "Go on. Touch the janitor's genitals" and "Do you believe in love at first sight?" "I used to". All of the jokes written at the expense of the blind character Roy are affectionate and never mean-spirited. Its a moving cute indie rom-com. It has a heavy indie feel to it. Like "Out of the Blue" mixed with "Juno". This is a real indie film. What it lacks in a trendy soundtrack and pop-culture references, it makes up in emotion, great direction and a perfect script. Deserves a bigger audience.
