5.0 out of 5 stars A book for all ages and all people!
This book is written with such emotion that the reader feels as if they are reading a novel. I would recommend the book to anyone who wants to read a heart grabber. Also it's a perfect book to read to younger children. This book grabs the reader from the beginning. As the story develops, the reader feels as if they are there and a part of the family. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good book, but very short.
Thes book was short, only 47 pages. But even though there was not much space, the writer conveyed an entire story. The story is vauge in some areas and very descriptive in others, and sometimes you might not be sure of the significance of one character or thing. But I also thought that it was like a poem in some spots. This would be a good book for young children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love You Soldier, May 19, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Love you, Solider (Mass Market Paperback)
This story is about a little girl name Katie and her dad going to war. She is 7 years old. The setting is in New York City during WW2.

The author's purpose is to entertain because Katie really cares about her dad a lot. It is a sad story because her dad goes away from her.

My opinion is that the story was sad because her dad goes to war and he doesn't come home. Another reason I like it is because whenever I read it I cannot stop reading it. I recommend this book a lot.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Love you, Solider (Mass Market Paperback)
This books title is Love You, Soldier and the author is Amy Hest. The main characters are Katie, her Father, her Mother, her Mothers friend Louise and Sam. The story starts out in New York City. Katie lives with her family until her Father goes to fight in World War II. While her Father is in war Katie is learning more and more of what it means to be part of a family.

Katie is worried about her father. He has been away for a long time. The question is: Will the war take Katies father away forever?

I recommend this book to the people who like happiness and sadness in the same story. I give this book four and a half stars because it was a good book but some parts were a little boring.
