KeKe Still Holding,
This review is from: Loved By Few Hated By Many [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
This is an excellent album. I have been following Keke since 'Dont mess wit Tx' and this album is definitely among his best. The beats are nice and mellow with deep bass. Combine that with his killer flows and you have a CD that bangs from the front to the back. Also he shows a good command of conscious rap in 'scholarships to the pen'. MAN HOLD UP KeKe wrecked this one!!!!

I personally only consider a handful of albums as perfect or classic...this keke album is one of them. His flow is persistent from begining to end and the production fits perfectly. He doesn't have the best lyrics like some of the so called top artists that we hear today..but he's KILLING them with his flawless delivery. Addicted to fame is good too..but not like this one here.

Lil Keke returns after a little break in between albums with this one, that finally came out after around 2 years of push back dates, and the wait was well worth the finished product. This is the 9th album of his I have, and may be his best (close with his debut "Don't Mess With Texas"). Of his 9 albums I own, 2 I'd give 4.5 stars (this being one), 3 I'd give 3.5 stars, and the other 4 I'd give 4 stars. With 13 songs, you get 3 classic, 1 almost classic, 2 are ok, and the other 7 are all good songs. Guests rap on 2 songs and do the chorus on around half. production is very nice as well. Mr. Lee does 6 songs (very nice job as usual), Xfyle does 3, and J-Kut, Shondrae Crawford, Bruce Bang and Beans & Kornbread al do 1 song. A highly recommended album for fans of the Screwed Up Click/Texas/southern rap and very well may be his best album in his large catalog of albums.#1 -8.5 #2 - 9.5 (f/ Asiah -- tight beat) #3 - 10 (CLASSIC -- f/ Slim Thug, Paul Wall & Tre Virdure -- great beat) #4 - 10 (CLASSIC -- f/ Crys Wall -- great beat) #5 - 7.5 #6 - 10 (CLASSIC -- great beat) #7 - 7.5 (f/ Blak) #8 - 8.5 (f/ Tre Virdure) #9 - 8 #10 - 8.5 (f/ Vlissa MArtinez & Young Redd) #11 - 8 (f/ Pinc Gator) #12 - 8.5 #13 - 8.5 (f/ Crys Wall) Marcus Edwards -- b. 1976 -- Houston, TX Check all my reviews
