I discovered Green Man through free Amazon mp3s and immediately became fascinated with what I heard. Dark, beautiful, layered, hallucinogenic, smart. Think 1 Giant Leap, Portishead, Massive Attack filtered through Middle Eastern and Celtic sensibilities. And even more fascinating are the interpretations of folk songs - Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair, She Moved through the Fair. How impressive to be honest to the song's roots and still sound completely reinvented. It shouldn't take long before Green Man gets wide recognition. If any group deserves it, it is them. Definitely take a chance and order this cd. You won't be sorry.
