"Lovely Day" is a lovely song!
This is perhaps one of the best chill songs ever. Bill Withers' voice is great here- steady, almost no vibrato at all; and none is neccessary. I don't know how he holds that note near the end at the last group of choruses! While listening, I can't help but thinking of a sunrise and the promise of the coming day. Yeah, I know that sounds corny but I can't describe it...

One of the worst songs ever
I'd give it 0 stars if they allowed it here. Forget waterboarding. If you want to interrogate anyone, just play this song. Once. If you want to kill someone, play this song twice. The song is bad enough, but the repetition is like overkill. It makes me almost hate music. I would rather listen to almost any other noise than this song...
