Great Game for Girls 4-9 Years Old,
By
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Lovely Lisa and Friends (Video Game)
My 4 year old loved this game.
Lisa loves clothes, makeup and helping her family. She is 1 of 5 kids and helps her parents, A LOT! Her mother asks her to shop, clean up after the babies, help put the triplets down for naps, cook and more. Her father has her help put furniture together. If your child doesn't read yet, like mine after some prompting, they will be able to play the game with zero assistance from you. The best part of the game is the clothes and make-up. Like the real world, you need money for that and this game is no different. I set the parental control to the max amount of points for my daughter. One of the favorites has become florist, hamburger cook and police officer. They games are easy and fun. Plus they have given my daughter the confidence she needs to explore trying some of the other games that frustrated her in the past. Since my little girl can't read she has to follow directions supplied by the game which means she has to listen well and follow directions. Not a bad thing since she is starting full time school this September. I love watching her sit quietly and play Lovely Lisa. This is a great game for girls age 4-9.

My 7 year old got Lovely Lisa a few years ago and instantly loved it. When we saw Lovely Lisa & Friends, she used her own money to 'upgrade' to the latest version. She likes this one just as much as the original and says that there are new mini-games. Minimal reading is required so it's great for younger DS players and there's nothing violent or mean about this game. For under $20 we've been very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it for girls under age 8 or 9.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas since she is always after me to play my DS & I don't really have games she is capable of yet. Once she got this game in the system I have to fight her to put it down! I bought it because the reviews said there was no reading required and though she is working on it she isn't reading yet. There is some reading however and those parts of the game are very frustrating for her since it is in areas that look like a lot of fun like the florist shop. You can't put together a bouquet unless you can read the order. There is enough non-reading content to keep her happy though.
She really loves the chores around the house and the careers mostly because you get "Lisa points" which you can use to purchase clothes and accessories for Lisa. Her fave part of the game is the clothing design shop, she would never do anything else if left alone. I feel like this is very kid-friendly, safe game that after going through it on my own I feel very safe in letting her play on her own. Be aware that it does seem to be a bit addicting, we have had to institute a 35 minute time limit and if she has a fit about turning it off she loses her time for the next day. We had to do this so she would put it down and do pretty much anything else.
