Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Babyface..., August 24, 2000
Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds was best known playing guitar with his R&B Band, The Deele, which also boasted his then-production partner L.A. Reid. "Lovers," his first solo effort, boasts such efforts as "You Make Me Feel Brand New," and the title track. This album is simply the introduction to this talented songwriter/singer/producer, and is one for 'Face fans to check out...

In 1987, Babyface began his awesome solo career as a first-rate vocalist, songwriter and producer. He sings in a slikly slight faletto and also sings in his at lower tones in his full voice. This album features expertly produced romantically themed refined pop music for the adult audience. Although, "Lovers" is an adult pop album, the lyrics of the songs are inoffensive thus is suited for teens and pre-teens to appreciate & enjoy. This albums has songs that will set a romantic mood for romantic evenings with that special someone and/or awaken the lover in you. Includes the hits "If We Try", "Mary Mack" & the Top 10 R&B chart hit "I Love You Babe." Highly recommended to those who enjoy refined music.
