artistic design, original drawings and approach,

I have about 50 books on i ching. The book by R. Burr is among better ones( The best are by C.Anthony; Sam Reifler;S. Denning; Amy and roderric sorrel;..)The design(layout) of the book is superb and the book is absolute "miss" among i ching books.It is pleasure to touch the book. The real gem in this book are drawings (pictures) for each hexagram. But,i noticed one strange blunder(mistake) regardind hexagram 32! (It is surprising that mistake occured in the book which teach about love and i ching. Speaking about hex-32 R. Burr named it " follow your own path" which is misleading. Also the author estimated the hex-32 as not "so positive". The point is that other authors openly and directly described the hex 32 as commitment; constancy or "the hexagram represents long and harmonius marriage" (!) (reifler,denning,...) Of course,with good lawyer R. Burr can defend her approach to h-32 but the fact remains that she did not mention word marriage at all in this hexagram!!) If you want to improve your understanding of love and i ching buy this book!) |
