If this CD does not take you back to the days of Alan Freed & the Brooklyn Paramount nothing will. This is Doo Wopp at its finest. We need more of KV & the Planotones.

Many artists cover the songs of other artists but very few do the original song justice. Kenny Vance remains true to the original arrangements and always does a better job than the original.

Kenny Vance is an artist that grew up in the DooWop days of the late fifties and sixties. He was in the business then most notably as one of the founding members of Jay and the Americans.

His unique voice and colaboration with Johnny Gale have produced the best and perhaps only new true doowop to be recorded in 20 years.

This album is a must for your collection.

This tape is awesome! His voice is smooth and as great as ever.

This album is awesome! Kenny Vance and the Planotones never fail.

I am, and have been, a big fan of Kenny Vance and the Planatones. As such, I tend to be critical of some of their work.With this said ,Lovers Island is some of their very best ever.From material, to harmonics, to reproduction quality, this CD is a winner.Heck , their rendition of For Your Precious Love alone is well worth the price of admission.

You really have to be in the mood to appreciate these classics and the excellent way they are put together. This is not just another Doo Wop collection, but a series of carefully crafted "mood" songs from the greatest time in musical history. Thanks, Kenny and guys, I just hope it gets her in the mood too!

This is the best cd ever and Kenny Vance is by far the greatest sound out there in this world. The whole group is just awesome and I love them and have seen them in concert and plan to go see them every time they are in the area. I just cannot say enough about their music...They have brought the oldies back but with even a better sound than ever...they are fantastic!!! I have purchased most of their cd's and plan on buying all of them. Thanks so much to Kenny and the rest of the group for the joy you have given to many people.

Lovers Island is a bit slow, however, an excellent listening product. Kenny's voice is immaculate as always.

This cd is the ultimate get you in the mood with your honey!! We love this cd. We saw them out east at a concert. We will always remember the first time we danced to Diamonds and Pearls!! A must have for any couple, any age!!
