This book was instrumental in helping me try to grasp and understand how the mind of someone who has been abused thinks. It is a book that could be read many times over. What a non abused person takes for granted, every day social interactions, is handled quite differently by the abused. I recommend this to others. I purchased it in trying to understand a friend. The personal nature of this topic does not promote normal discourse or discussions and a victim is often quite confused about how they are feeling. This book puts it in perspective as much as possible for someone who cares for someone.
