From beginning to end, this cd is a return to form by the creator of the deep-house genre. While not as suited to the club scene as Dance 2000, Love's Arrival creates a groove that focuses as much attention on the melody as on the rhythm. In addition, there are a few vocals, Heard's first since 1995's Back to Love. As for the cuts, "Praise" shows the beat can have a soul; "Direct Drive", "Dew Drops" and "Havana" show that Larry Heard can still create club hits; "Another Night" or "To Try" would be at home on one of his Mr. Fingers albums of the early 90s; "When I Think of You" and "Until the Last Goodbye" are downtempo masterpieces; "Love's Arrival (Dub)" is beautiful piano and driving beat at its best; the rest add to a cd that grabs my head and heart while it makes me jump!

Larry Heard's latest opus has arrived to us all and it is truly a masterpiece. The lush, and soothing melodies are just gorgeous. The rythym tracks and arrangemnts are very engaging and offer something new with each listen. The vocals are not only very thoughtful and powerful but wonderful to simply listen to. It is such a privelage to hear Larry Heard's message in such a frank and open way through this album. Love's Arrival is truly a quality, thematic work. Well worth the investment for a severely underrated artist.

This project is consistant with his previous work and has an enjoyable flow. It's laid back house tracks are mind blowing and mellow.

Well, i was pleased with this cd, because MR LARRY HEARD ( AKA MR FINGERS ) keeped intact his magic touch. All of the songs are deep, melodic...but the only thing that surprises me ...there is no surprises! If you listent to his album, INTRODUCTION, released in 1990 you'll find the same background, the same subjects and interpreted vocals. So, i honestly was waiting for an evolution, a new approach, a new way to get in his proposal smooth beats. He keeped the rhythim, the way, but a new house in his HOUSE could be interesting....

This cd was made during LH's declining years
so its not his best. I would say that it's just
ok. But it still sounds better than most of the
music out today.
