An amazing read,

Camille Jameson is hired to redecorate Bridal Wreath, an old house with a lot of charm and history. She takes the job and goes to Bridal Wreath looking forward to restoring this house to it's dignity. She gets there to find out the son of the owner of the house is Zack Prescott. The man she had a one night stand with two years ago. She wants nothing more than to back out of the job and return to Atlanta but Zack won't let her because his father is ill and wants the house restored. Camille must work and live at the house and try to keep her feelings a secret.Love's Encore is a fantastic book. It is very easy to read with characters who are for the most part down-to-earth and real. The plot of this book is excellent and moves along keeping the reader interested. I was able to read this book in just a few hours because it was so good and entertaining. This is one of Sandra Brown's older books but stands the test of time well. I found it to be very good to read and worth the time.

Another quick read,

Camille Jameson and Zack Prescott met 2 years ago on a skiing trip. Their attraction for each other grew from several dates to a night of passion. Now they are thrown together to due Zack's father hiring Camille to redecorate their plantation home. It is a sweet story. I felt frustration towards Camille putting up with Zack's seeing an old girl friend while he is trying to recapture their passion and Zack putting up with Camille's lame excuse for their not being together. You can tell this is an older book of S. Brown's. She has so many better books out there-that I would probably recommend skipping this one - but if chosen to read, it is still enjoyable for a quick read.

Camille has been hired to renovate the aging estate of an ailing and genteel gentleman, who wants to leave something welcoming and homey for future generations. When she arrives at the mansion, she realizes that Zack, a man with whom she shared a vacation romance and night of passion 2 years earlier, is the heir. Neither she nor Zack have been able to forget the other and move on in their respective love lives, but they need to resolve some misunderstandings before they can pick up where they left off. The bickering and unnecessary nastiness in trying to put distance between themselves and the other turned me off a bit because I felt their reasoning for pushing the other away wasn't very believable and could have been handled more respectfully and more easily with better communication. Yet, I still enjoyed the story because it was very cute and romantic. Camille, Zack and all the secondary characters were very likable, especially in their compassion towards the ailing Rayburn.I was surprised to learn that this was Sandra Brown's very first novel. Although not as polished as her more recent ones, there are flashes of her usual brillance in the colorful desciptions of the impressive antebellum plantation and the attention to detail given to Camille's restoration and redecoration project.

Sandra Brown's best novel.,

i fell head over heels in love with Zach and I can see why Camille would too. I liked how the guy fell in love at the same time as the girl. It was so sweet how Zack never forgot about Camille and kept on loving her after she left him. The same for Camille. My favorite book by Miss Brown. I've read it more than once and still love it like it was the first time.

As a huge Sandra Brown fan, I'll be the first to admit that her earlier love stories are a bit of a let down when compared to her more recent and more detailed novels. Once she made the jump from her short romances to her longer romantic suspense, it's clear that her strength really lies in the latter (try Exclusive, Best Kept Secrets, Where There's Smoke). If you read Loves Encore and compare it to Brown's later mysteries, you're bound to be disappointed. However, as far as short, sweet romances go, Brown's really aren't bad at all. I've read most of them, and I really thought this was one of the better, despite it being the author's first. Like other reviewers I thought it was a bit shallow in character and plot development, but looking at it from a purely romantic standpoint, I actually loved it. The story was terribly sweet. I would put it more in the category of a modern fairy tale than I would a well-thought out novel, but for a quick afternoon read to give you a smile, this will certainly do the trick. Most of these early Sandra Brown romances I found to be pretty unremarkable, but this one ended up on my bookshelf for a quick "pick me up."

This was the first book that I ever read by Sandra Brown and it hooked me. I have since been reading all the books she has and is publishing. This is one that I have already re-read again recently and will be one of my all time favorites. You can really feel the romance and the feelings of the characters in this book.

Not one of her best,

You can tell this is one of those 80s romances where the heroines were meek and moronic and spineless. Camille annoyed the heck out of me, she was wishy-washy and idiotic and at least the book wasn't a hardback because it left no mark when I threw in against the wall. Ms. Brown has done MUCH, MUCH better since this, but I suppose at the time it came out this was the norm, like some of the old Linda Howard books.

There are too many other good books out there (by Sandra Brown and others) to even waste your time on this one. It's flat, and not to mention silly. I didn't like either or the main characters, it just didn't do it for me. I believe this was Sandra's first novel (don't quote me). If it was, I'll give her credit, it was not bad for a first. But like I said, just leave it on the shelf and move on.

I loved this book! I loved the part of them meeting again after 2 years of separation. I liked how they met in the first place at Snow Bird. I also loved the character of Rayburn, Zack's father. He reminded me of my grandfather...It was the most wonderful book!
