If you are interested in really awakening and not just packing in more concepts about God, non-duality and so forth ... this is your book. There is only one other book on par with this one. It is "I am That" by Nisargadatta Maharaj. Either one of these is all you need. For westerners Scott's books is preferable.

3.0 out of 5 stars In Serious Need of Editing...
I had high hopes for this book based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately I ended up very disappointed. The book is EXTREMELY, extremely repetitive! The author repeats the same things over and over again - often with nearly the exact same wording. Yes, there are certainly some real gems of wisdom here and there. Some serious editing would have gone a long way to...

5.0 out of 5 stars So Grateful! So Grateful..., November 22, 2008
This review is from: Love's Quiet Revolution: The End Of The Spiritual Search (Paperback)
I bought this book because I really love Scott Kiloby's youtube satsang videos, and wanted to see what more he had to say. To be honest, I feel the quality of "my" life the last few weeks has improved so much because I've been really NOTICING things as they are... which is something Scott talks about very eloquently and with great insight in this book. I highly recommend this book if you are tired of simply acquiring more ideas and are ready to LOOK at what IS=)

What I have read in the area of finding one's self through the schools of Buddhism, Hinduism (Advaita), Taoism, and, let's call it, "other", could fill a small library. But this book is simply the clearest, most direct, and emotionally charged book in the field. This is IT ladies and gentleman. If you are wandering the wide wide fields of seeking the Self, this is THE book for you. The sooner you get it, the "happier" (just a joke), you'll be.Liberation from the Lie: Cutting the Roots of Fear Once and for All

5.0 out of 5 stars Equal to the best, February 12, 2009
This review is from: Love's Quiet Revolution: The End Of The Spiritual Search (Paperback)
I've read Eckhart, Ramana, Adyashanti, Byron Katie, Nisargadatta, Balsekar, Maharishi, de Mello, Pema Chodron, DT Suzuki, Shankara, and 50 others. This former druggie attorney writes as well as any on this elusive subject...a stunning nondual masterpiece.

Many books of this type are written in the format of Q&A, this book is not and I liked that. This allowed for a more in depth discussion/description of each point. The language in this book is so simple for nonduality. Scott points out that the words aren't important, so he will use a variety of different words, but one he uses a lot is "this". Only "this" is appearing now. This book gave me a real mind understanding, and internally this book reasonated with me.

One quote I remember and use frequently, is "This moment is who I am"

5.0 out of 5 stars Scott has written the book I've been wanting to write, September 24, 2009

Emotional suffering forced me into non-dualism six years ago. Since then, I've read several dozen books on the subject in order to understand it as a psychological stage of growth and to teach it to others. Scott's book contains hundreds of insights I've experienced that are not mentioned in any other author's books giving me the assurance he is speaking from personal transformation and not repeating what he has read. He prints a warning on the front cover: "The End of the Spiritual Search" and I think he just may be able to help many people pull it off!

"Unconditional love is what is left after the dream self dissolves."

I've read quite a few books on advaita these past few years, and never tire of the subject. Naturally some resonate more profoundly than others. A few of my very favorite contemporary authors are: Eckhart Tolle, Tony Parsons, David Carse, and now Scott Kiloby. Very Gentle - very Clear.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books on Nonduality out there!, January 2, 2009

Scott Kiloby has created an awesome writing on nonduality. He presents it with a clarity that's rare in these circles. He reiterates again and again that it's not the words- it's beyond words what's being pointed at. Great book recommended to all!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars With, From, and For Love., February 5, 2010

I'm not very good at writing reviews... or maybe I am, but I've never done it before. The cover says it all: "The End of the Spiritual Search."

Why are people on a spiritual search?... To stop searching! And where would they be once they've finished searching? Where they've always been!! This book points you to where you've always been. Right here, right now.

I want to say "Scott is brilliant at expressing the love in this moment", but words aren't enough... but what if, for just this moment, words COULD be enough? ... I would let that quote be my sole summary of this book :)

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite books of 2010, December 31, 2010

This review is from: Love's Quiet Revolution: The End Of The Spiritual Search (Paperback)
This book is a "must-read" who is in a search for the Truth of who we are, how to view the world and how to function in it.

Out of the many thousands of books I've read in my life, there are only a small handful that have taken my ability to operate more effectively in this world to a higher level. Even though, as Scott Kiloby teaches us, there is no separation in the vast aggregation of all ideas out there, the reality is that there are some who will read this book and others who will never hear of it. In my opinion, it's important for as many people on the planet fall into the former category.

Why? I think most people who have read Eckhart Tolle's books or heard him speak or who have delved into the teachings of many other authors who've taught on a similar topic, have had a very strong sense that there's something potent and life changing about dwelling in the state of present moment awareness. And if you, like many people, actually experience it, you understand just how liberating it is. You can be free of undesired emotions. When you are unencumbered by mental noise, you are free to take the right action in every area of your life. All the roadblocks are removed.

Yet, for most people, including myself these periods of pure awareness have tended to be short-lived all too sporadic. It's so very easy to get caught up in your story, your life situation, the not so ideal interactions with people, the challenges of business, the leaking faucet, and the traffic on the I-5 through downtown.

Now finally, someone has succeeded in creating an authoritative and yet easily understood methodology for making the "Now" the dominant state. In just reading a few pages of Scott Kiloby's book, I've developed a stronger and more enduring ability to comfortably stay in a state of present moment awareness than the week-long retreats I've been to.

No matter what you current belief system is, read Scott's book and I think you will come away with those beliefs perhaps still intact, but also living above those beliefs. I'm there, and like this place. And I'm comfortable with not having to go back to the old self.
