This story is about a recent law school graduate by the name of tonya who starts to work for a successful black law firm and ends up falling in love with the owner of the law firm's son, Dexter. Both of them have bad experiences with love in the past Tonya bad experience involved finding out that her fiance was gay and Dexter's was about finding out that his first wife cheated on him and got pregnant from the another guy. This story is a romantic and exciting story to read. I would recommend this book to everyone. I loved it so much that I stayed up all night to read it 10p saturday till 9a sunday non-stop reading. I hope you enjoy it also

Rochunda, if this was your first novel with Arabesque/BET, your story about Tonya and Dexter was one of the most enjoyable stories I have read. You maintained this story so well, as each page turned it got more interesting. To the die-heart Arabesque readers, I think you will like Ms Rochunda Lee's first novel and to think we have so much more to look forward to as we go into the new century! Much success to you and we look forward to your next great novel.

Tonya Locksley has graduated from law school and accepted aposition with one of the most prestigious law firms in Dallas,Reynolds & Freeman. She is determined to put the negative things behind her such as the betrayal by her fiancé and her brother's drinking. It is not her intention to become involved with anyone, but when Mr. Freeman's son, Dexter, comes to work for the firm, she is immediately attracted to him and he to her. Dexter still has a home in Atlanta where his ex-wife Melissa lives. Eventually, things come to a head when Tonya and Dexter break-up and rumor has it he is remarrying Melissa. Tonya discovers she must make a decision that will change her life forever while battling family problems, her best friend's betrayal, and office sabotage.

Well, well, well, I must give it up for Rochunda Lee. This girl worked on this book, with all the twists and turns, I was hooked from the get go! The main character had me cracking up, especially at the church scene. Y'all HAVE to read this, even if you're not into romance novels, I'm telling you, this one will have you hooked.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! so much that after I finished it the next day I read it again. This is a must read.

tonya and dexter's story was wonderful. i felt for tonya when she found out about his ex-wife melissa and she was a real trip herself. tonya loved dexter and he loved her but he wasn't man enough to stand up to his father until he found out about the baby tonya was carrying. at the end they finally got their selves together and got married i'm glad ms.lee wrote this book it was excellent for a first time author

I truely enjoyed reading this book. I could hardly put it down. I could feel the love between Dexter and Tonya. I especially enjoyed how the book ended. This was a ending that I did not expect. I thought the book was well written. I am looking forward to more books by Rochunda Lee. "You go girl"˙

Ms. Lee has created a pretty good story after initially some doubtful quick turns and ambiguous leadings. By the time Tonya finds out she's pregnant, I was as hooked as any good soap-opera crazed fan. The characters were flawed like "real people". The only point of contention with this book is the total homophobic and sexist treatment of David, particulary by Tonya. Overall an enjoyable love story; girl-gets-boy story.

For Lee's first novel, she really did a nice job. I enjoyed reading about Tonya and Dexter's love story. Don't you just love it when a couple preveils when other family members do not want them to be together. Good Read!

I didn't like the basis of this book. I thought Dexter was a weak man for letting his father dictate his life for him. You should not let your parents dictate or control your life for you when you are an adult. He took too long to stand up to his father. Tonya was too long-suffering. She should have told Dexter as soon as she found out she was pregnant with his child. Being meek in this world usually doesn't get you very far or help you to accomplish your goals.
