5.0 out of 5 stars Lovin' you for twenty years, August 7, 2007

Every song on this album is golden. Tompall's voice is thrilling. I had this collection on cassette years ago and played it so much it began to drag seriously. Kept it for hard times but was so pleased to find it had made its way to cd. Bought it and cried all the way through Feeling the weight of my chains. I'm not much on country music but this cd is exceptional.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, June 27, 2008
This review is from: Lovin' Her Was Easier/After All These Years (Audio CD)
This group came up with a real winner with this album. For the most part they had the right songs, the right music and the right vocals. This was the peak of Tompal and The Glaser Brothers. This is one of the best country music albums you will ever own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as good as it was 30 years ago, September 25, 2010

If you like close harmony, this album/cd is for you. I first bought this on 8 tracks back around 1981. I loved it then and it is still awesome.I can still remember the first time I heard "Trying to out run the Wind" from the Loving Her was easier album. I heard it on a little local AM radio station and immediately rushed to the record store (anybody remember when you could actually buy a record)and ordered it. The tight harmony is something that is sorely missing in most of todays music. The song selection is awesome too - songs written by Kris Kristopherson (Loving Her was easier), Don Gibson (Just One Time) and Hank Williams (Mansion on the Hill). The music compliments the vocals, instead of overwhelming them. It is a shame that these 3 brothers just couldn't get along with each other, because their music was great.

I am so glad to see that the rest of the world is finding out about this great group. They have been my favorites for years, I have ALL of their recordings and wish there were some videos/DVDs of them. Years ago I saw them on Austin City Limits and have grieved about NOT taping the program. If anyone out there has a video of one of their performances I would be glad to buy it or a copy of it. I have met Jim and seen him perform. He is still great at it and a gentleman. Jack

I used to have a cassette tape of Tom Pall and the Glaser Brothers that Ienjoyed so much that I wore it out! For some time I tried to find a CD of the same without any success, until now! Great harmony, great selection of songs. Couldn't ask for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best ever country album, October 23, 2008
This review is from: Lovin' Her Was Easier/After All These Years (Audio CD)
Saw the Glaser Bros. in concert as a warm up band for Merle Haggard about 20 years ago and thought they put on the best concert ever. I am glad to see this in CD as I have worn out the album and cassette over the years. I will continue to play and enjoy this album until the day I die!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Harmony! Super Songs, April 8, 2008
This review is from: Lovin' Her Was Easier/After All These Years (Audio CD)
The Glasers are the best ever in harmony and originality in arrangement. This CD contains several of the best songs ever. Notably the Kristofferson masterpiece, "Loving Her Was...,etc", the moving "After All These Years" and one of the most-masterful use of words I have ever encountered in "Maria Consuela." An extra bonus is the fabulous picking on many of the numbers.
The one negative is learning in the album notes that the Glasers could not get along well enough to stay together. Shameful!!
