LOVING ANNA. Anna didn't believe in UFOs or life on other planets until one fateful summer evening when she and her brother, Andrew, learned from the loving couple who have raised them that they are descendants of not only their human parents, but of a people from another world. Anna and Andrew, shocked and stunned by the revelation, must follow their hearts. Join them on their cosmic journey as they travel from earth to another world and enter a turbulent time in which decisions made lead them to heartache, loss, and eventual understanding that love conquers all. *** "I hope you enjoy reading Loving Anna as much as I enjoyed writing it. As the characters unfolded their personalities to me, I couldn't help but fall in love with Anna and Traun as they struggled with daily life. When I began writing this novel, I didn't have an exact script in mind. I sat down with a blank sheet of paper and from somewhere began my tale. Only as my story unfolded did I realize the characters and what they wanted me to tell." ~ Zequeatta ~
Zequeatta Jaques (Pronounced Jakeways) is the second daughter born into a family that would eventually consist of six children. Four girls and two boys. She met her husband, Steve, the year of 1977 and they married the following year. Zequeatta worked for twenty years outside the home and during that time earned a Masters of Science in Applied Psychology. From 1997 to 2006 she worked within the private prison system and held many different titles (Case Manager, Training Manager, Human Resource Manager and the last four years Assistant Warden). Facing a career burnout, Zequeatta decided that it was time for a change and happily left the private prison system. It was then, that she found herself taking up the pen and she has not looked back since. "Why do I write?" she says. "I write for the love of spinning a good story. As a child the moment that I learned to read I developed a deep appreciation for books. And as an avid reader, I can not think of a better day to have than to be able to curl up with a good book and lose myself within its contents. Ah, the wonder of other lives, other worlds."
Zequeatta and her husband live in the great state of Oklahoma and have four grandchildren. Their two daughters and their families live close by.
