Practical and powerful!,

This review is from: Loving God's Way: A Fresh Look at the One Another Passages (Paperback)
For Christians, or churches interested in putting all the "one another" passages in the New Testament into practice, this little book is a gem. A lot of practical wisdom is packed into this small package. It presents the kind of Christianity stands in sharp contrast to the televangelist glitz!

I've had this book for many years, and go back to it time and time again. Based upon the "one Another" principles in the Bible (Love one another, Admonish one another, Serve one another, Confess to one another etc. etc.), this is an awesome reference book to help you live out a life of Christ-like relationships. It is well written and scripturally sound. Even though each of these principles work together to create a whole picture of how to love as Christ loves, each chapter stands alone so that you can go right to a topic you are interested in at any given time.A few of the many helpful topics covered: <> What is Bitterness, do you have it and what you can do about it. <> What is gossip and what isn't? <> How can you work through conflict in a healthy way? Great real-world material you can actually use in daily life. Love it!

Practical and on the mark,

This book is one of the most practical works on how love ought to work in the church and in life in general. DeLashmutt's work is methodical and personal at the same time, a great combination that many authors struggle with. He makes the material accessible for anyone but there's plenty of depth for the experienced Christian. If you want to move love in the church beyond the fellowship handshake on Sunday morning, here's your book.
