Book Description

**Top 100 Amazon Bestseller**

To Whom it May Concern,

It was easy to call us forbidden and harder to call us soulmates. Yet I believed we were both. Forbidden soulmates.

When I arrived to Edgewood, Wisconsin I didn’t plan to find him. I didn't plan to stumble into Joe's bar and have Daniel's music stir up my emotions. I had no clue that his voice would make my hurts forget their own sorrow. I had no idea that my happiness would remember its own bliss.

When I started senior year at my new school, I wasn’t prepared to call him Mr. Daniels, but sometimes life happens at the wrong time for all the right reasons.

Our love story wasn’t only about the physical connection.

It was about family. It was about loss. It was about being alive. It was silly. It was painful. It was mourning. It was laughter.

It was ours.

And for those reasons alone, I would never apologize for loving Mr. Daniels.

-Ashlyn Jennings

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Sometimes a girl just needs a fully-loaded love story, but that comforts the entire way through. Plenty of angst and heartache, and lessons in life and love. But most of all, that feeling of togetherness, when all you thought you had was alone. 5 stars of happiness!"
-Maryse's Book Blog
"This is the kind of story that stays in your heart long after you've finished reading it. Brittainy C. Cherry has written a stunning novel and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!"
-Aestas Book Blog
"Loving Mr. Daniels was incredibly passionate and powerful; a story I will truly never forget."

"I want to be yours, I want you to be mind, and I hate that we can't be us. Because I think we were meant to be us."

This is a brilliantly, bittersweet book that will take your breath away.

I have never laughed and cried so much in one sitting. This book was full of grief and pain and at the same time I grinned and laughed with every other turn of the page. It gave my heart whiplash!

Every word I could use to describe this book would contradict another aspect of the story - dark, yet happy; thrilling, yet depressing; heartbreaking, yet funny; simple, yet complex; familiar, yet refreshing... this book is all of these things, but most importantly it is memorable, powerful, and moving.

I secretly enjoy student/teacher romances. Ok, it's not a secret... I love them. That being said, this book is so much more than just a student/teacher romance. There are so many layers that are slowly pulled back as the story moves forward. By itself it was absolutely amazing, but the best part of this book was the characters. Our main two characters, Ashlyn and Daniel, really touched my heart. They were two broken people that had suffered so much, and found solace and healing in each other forming an unbreakable bond. The relationship between Ashlyn and Daniel was a rare, honest love, and I ached for them and the circumstances that made their relationship wrong. All of the characters had so much depth, and were written so well that I felt they were a part of me. They were quirky, relatable, and impossible not to fall in love with... even the secondary characters added important elements to this story as they broke through the pages to tell their own story.

I don't want to compare Brittainy C.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Amazing Read May 12, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
5 Coping with Real Life * * * * *

This is an experience... overwhelming, intense and so heartfelt. There are moments which will make you stop and just absorb it all... because of the quirky beauty and then the deep, slicing pain. If I sound a little overly dramatic with this book, it's because I never was a bystander. What do I mean by that? It's when you are reading and kinda going through the motions; you are there ... and then you drift away... maybe go and fix a little snack... talk on the phone with a friend or check your email. You're not fully invested. This read demands you tuck in and give yourself over to it from the start. If you don't, it will be your loss.

There is so much covered in this book; the use of a teacher and older student is the least of the things it's about in my opinion. It focuses on sibling and parental loss; the undercurrent of blame and how it can be destructive in so many ways. Bullying, sexual orientation and acceptance are also addressed.

But mostly right next to all of these deep issues which cause unbearable pain for those in it...this story gives us pure and staggering love... first love and sibling love ...
The rush we feel with this first love and way it is nourished and blossoms is beyond any description I can give you...it will wash over you as you read how it happens; tentative steps all done against the artistry of Shakespeare. This first love is also teamed with the love of sisters with a special bond only twins can have.

So, this tale is chocked full of thought proving ideas... and it kills me not to go into all of them... but then I would be telling you this story instead of you experiencing it as I did... which was primarily going into it blind. I will share all of the characters were so well crafted...

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful..... May 14, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This was one of those books that lingered with you, well after you read it. I'm trying to put into words exactly how much I loved this book. This is a story of love, loss and redemption. It is real, raw and beautiful!

Ashlyn Jennings just lost her twin sister to cancer, as she tried to pick up the pieces her mother falls apart. She has no choice but to go live with her estranged father and his new family in Wisconsin. She is devastated and doesn't want to finish her Senior year without her friends since she is already a year behind her classmates. Traveling to her new home she stumble upon a pair of beautiful green eyes on the train and again at a bar.

Daniel Daniels is a broken man. He is dealing with two major losses in his life and is trying to pick up the pieces. He is also a very loving man. he's an avid Shakespeare lover, musician and teacher. He runs into Ashlyn twice and is immediately smitten by her. Their connection is magnetic and automatic.

'Our lips connected in a way I'd never been kissed. There needed to be a new word for this type of kissing. Therapeutic. Poignant. Apologetic. Blissful. All of those beautifully diverse feelings-all at once. '

Until they run into each other at school. He's her English teacher, Mr. Daniels and her dad is the Assistant Principal!

I loved this book. I loved reading about how they tried to make their relationship work and how they loved each other! This story is dark at times and beautifully romantic at others. The secondary characters were awesome, especially Ryan..my heart is still broken for him. This is a wonderful story and everyone should read this...Now I wonder if we will get a Randy story...

Please go pick up this book!
