Review

4 Cups from CBLS Reviews:

"Daniel and Tami are lovely characters and their plight with their pasts are believable and it is a nice pleasant journey they go on together to find love. Neither trust their new found feelings in the beginning and it's only as time progresses do, they work through and accept the changes within themselves....

"Overall, Loving or Nothing is a sweet and tender romance mixed with some intense love scenes."

I enjoyed this story. Very reminiscent of the older Harlequins where characterization was key and sex was off screen. Another great read from Ms. Marsi!

This sweet reunion story sparks tempers as much as passions. Tami finds it unthinkable that she might lose the beach house her parents left her. But Daniel, a boy she knew years ago, rides in and wants to take that last link to her parents away. Seeing him again, her undeniable attraction to him is a force of it's own. And Daniel has had a thing for Tami since high school. I loved how this story progressed, I thought it was a lovely read.

I also enjoyed the other story called Accidental Love.

This book was enjoyable. I loved the characters right from the beginning. Second chance romances always tug at my heart and this story did not disappoint me. Cara Marsi did an excellent job with this sweet romance.

This was a quick, pleasant read. It's also written (and edited) very well. That was a pleasant change from some of the Kindle books I've experienced. The author obviously puts a lot of effort into good writing technique.

For me, the downside was that it was such a familiar and predictable plot. The characters were just what I expected, and so were the events of the story. I kept hoping for a little twist here or there, but there really weren't any surprises along the way.

I'd read another book by this author, because her writing is so crisp. I'll just be hoping for a little more complexity and a touch of the unexpected.

Because I once lived in New Jersey and knew the areas well Ms. Marsi described, it was like a homecoming to read "Loving or Nothing". Vivid descriptions lent a 3-D background to a heartfelt story of two deserving, well-written characters who reunite and find love. I felt for Tami's struggle to stay afloat and keep her grandmother's home filled with cherished memories, and loved how Daniel's character grew the more he came to care for Tami. The ending twist in this enjoyable read gives a satisfying Happy Ever After. I gave it 4 stars, only because I wish it was longer.

Loving or Nothing was a really nice romance. Tami (Tamsen) owns a bridal shop and lives in her family's Victorian house that she is very attached to but fears losing because of financial troubles. She is sweet, beautiful, and still believes in the good in people but she is leery of romance due to a bad experience. Daniel, the handsome, dynamic and wealthy contractor, returns to Loving in order to demonstrate that, despite being the town's bad boy when he was younger, is now a successful businessman. Daniel, who had a secret crush on Tami (that was reciprocated), needs to buy Tami's house in order to build a hotel complex on the property. Both of them try very hard to convince the other to give in until they realize they love each other and solve the problem. There is, of course, a happy ending.

This story had excellent writing and editing (only a few small mistakes) and the dialogue really helped to demonstrate the well-rounded and likable personalities of the characters as well as move the plot smoothly from beginning to (the happy) end. The imagery was very well done and really helped me to get attached to the story. I very much enjoyed reading Loving or Nothing and I am happy to recommend it to others.

In addition, there is a complete short story -- not an excerpt -- given for free called Accidental Love at the end of the book. It was a very nice surprise as well as being well-written and enjoyable.

Short and sweet, just the way I like my books. The book actually contains two short - the second shorter than the first - stories.

The first story, Loving or Nothing, was a sweet story of the former high school bad boy returning to his home town to prove he has not only changed, but deserves respect. The girl he had always secretly attracted to since high school, had the property he required to go forward with his big development project. Only problem, she did not want to sell, and, although attracted to him, she did not trust him, or any man. Can they overcome prior baggage and make a life together?

The second, very short, story was also about a girl previously done wrong, with trust issues.

Quick read. Written for the general market. PG13 for content.

You Can’t go wrong by choosing a book by Cara Marsi!
These are 3 sweet stories that you feel at the end of each story. The first two stories mention and take place in PA which is kind of cool because that is where I am from and I recognized the well know places and could relate to the small town feel. The first stories the main characters are connected by knowing each other in high school They all had secret crushes on one another at that time, they cross paths again in their adults lives and well love blooms but its not easy but all ends well. The third story the characters have heart break in common and are brought together by a little of magic. P.S. you will love the sample of A Catered Romance.
