Book Description

Kimani Romance April 21, 2009

Kimberly and Jack have it all. Loving marriage? Check. Gorgeous home? Yep. Well-paying careers? No doubt. Children? Two; and they're college-bound. The happy couple should be celebrating. Instead...Kim has just asked for a divorce.

Kim remembers a caring, attentive husband who catered to her every delicious need. Jack longs for their searing, unpredictable nights of passion (the house was christened in more than one room).

But letting go will be harder than Kim and Jack ever imagined. Especially when someone keeps setting them up on surprise "dates" with each other. And their biggest bombshell is yet to come. Will it bring them back together...or tear them apart for good?

4.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Story by Candice Poarch, October 19, 2009
This review is from: Loving Spoonful (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Kimberly Canter is tired of coming in second to her husband's businesses. She thought that after seventeen years of marriage, two children, several successful business, and all the material things they could possibly want; she and Jack would spend some quality time together. However, due to events that happened to both their families while growing up, they both are having difficulty with letting go of insecurities. When Kim and Jack go on a second honeymoon and Jack works most of the time, Kim knows things have got to get better or it's just a matter of time. When things don't get better after they get back from their trip, Kim puts Jack out of the house. Just as Kim is having second thoughts about putting Jack out, she discovers she is pregnant. She knows Jack will do the right thing and come back home. She thinks that's why they got married in the first place. Kim wants Jack to come back on his own. The kids also want their father back home and will stop at nothing to get him back. Jack also wants to come back home because he truly loves his wife and kids. Now all Jack has to do is convince his wife she can't live without him.

Loving Spoonful by Candice Poarch is a wonderful story with a nice twist. The book is about a couple that has been married for several years and just needs to put the romance back into their relationship. Loving Spoonful also reaches an audience of mature, married individuals that enjoy reading about characters that they can identify with. Poarch does a great job with character development, both primary and secondary. She also has a nice writing style that flows without having lagging moments. Good read!

This was an enjoyable read. It is about taking the small things for granted. How two people have two different ideas about how success and family should be. This book reminds readers that one significant event can change your perception of what is real, what is factual, and what is perceived. A good read.

This book gives you renewed hope that a marriage can be saved if you work at it. Jack & Kim have been married for 17 yrs with 2 teenage kids. As with all marriage you sometime find that you drifting apart although you live in the same house.

When Jack father died his father left enough money for each of his children to go to college and the family is taken care of until they come of age. Jack mothers me a smooth & slick man who ran through the family money and left them high and dry.

At the age of 16 Jack and his brother begin working to make sure that his family are taking care and for Jack in his mind once he marry and have a family they would never want for anything. He would always take care of them.

From the time Jack marry his college sweetheart to him all has been well, Jack has given his wife and children everything he think they want with the exception of his time, Jack has been busy since he open up his first PUB and haven't stop since.

Kim has always been insecure about Jack love for her. Kim was raise in a loving home with two parents until her father decided that he wanted a divorce and for Kim her father divorce her as well. Kim's mother has stress to her daughter to always be able to take care of yourself and don't depend on a man. Kim works as a Meteorology full time and enjoys her job since the kids are teenager so that give her something to do beside sit home all day. Jack and Kim both realize that they live in the same house but are miles apart and Kim's decided to bring them back some romance to their lives.

They both go through their share of the blame and for their marriage Jack thinks if Kim quick her job then all will be right with his marriage, and Kim's want Jack to give control of the Pub to the managers he has hired to free up some time to spend with his family.

There is some twist and turn in this book: Question to ponder;
Will Jack leave his wife of 17 yrs?
Jack wants a baby and they have been trying for a while do you think Kim should keep the baby?
Do you think that Jack & Kim marriage can be saved? Well the best place to find out the answer to these questions and more is to purchase the book and trust you will enjoy it.
