More About the Author

Karen Shablin is a consultant, public speaker, writer, wife and stepmom in Langhorne, PA. Mrs. Shablin uses her experience surviving her 2008 lay off from her position as a vice president of a health care firm to inform Loving Your Layoff. With nearly thirty years as a health care executive, Mrs. Shablin has used her layoff to reinvented herself as a public speaker, health policy consultant and author. Whether speaking to groups of three or 30,000, her humor and honesty always shine through.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Michigan, School of Public Health, she has experience in prison health care, Medicaid/Medicare, commercial health insurance and health care policy and management.

Mrs. Shablin thanks God for His blessings and asks everyone to remember--work pays for your real life, it is not your real life.

So how are you planning on reinventing yourself?

Format: Paperback
Quick and to the point, Ms. shablin's thoughts on layoffs contain the needed information to "kick start" a new life chapter. I mean, who wants to read a long treatise on corporate shifting when you are still smarting from the dreaded pink slip? She gets to the core...you lost your job, now what? Well, it's in "Loving Your Layoff"...a fine book that not only helps ease the pain but, makes a case for enjoying the process of reinvention. Buy it!
