About the Author

Dottye Steinbach spent her first 14 years on a small farm in the Missouri Ozarks, then moved to St. Louis where she completed her education.

In addition to her favorite Banty hen, bunny rabbits, a dog, several cats and kittens, there was also a small opossum that had been escued when a hunting dog shook it out of its mother's pouch.

Her love for animals is shared by her husband, Ivan, and three adult sons who have their own assortment of companion pets.

Outside of the animal hospital and elderly man wrapped his arms around his distraught and sobbing wife. Trying to console her, he murmured, "Brandi is out of pain and at peace now". Pulling away from his embrace, in a voice breaking with tears, his wife asked, "But what about me - what about ME?"

This review is from: Loving, caring, letting go without guilt: A compassionate but straightforward look at pet euthanasia (Mass Market Paperback)
This book could have been better. The author hardly covered the guilt when putting down our pets.

Also, the edition of the book had several blank pages where the narrative was just missing. I'm going to send the book back to the firm that printed it with a "shame" for lack of product control.
