This how to manual is a godsend in every way imaginable. Written by a speech pathologist--and, equally important, a woman--the book manages to be both authoritative and serious while keeping the tone fun and light (as the author reminds us: "Nothing ruins sex as much as taking it too seriously.").

Before plunging into the really good stuff in chapters 11-14, she takes us from the beginning: from first dates, to kissing (nine types), to oral exercises for the tongue, jaw, and lips. (Reader, don't let the first ten chapters put you off. When you reach chapter eleven, you're in the promised land.)

As far as putting all this stuff into practice: it works and then some. Once you feel comfortable doing what she's taught, you'll find it unleashes all kinds of improvisatory riffs. (I'm now nearly the John Coltrane of cunnilingus.)

Buy this book. Read it in entirety--not once but two or three times, and let the good times roll.

It was such a relief to read this book. I am quite sexually experienced BUT I still didn't feel comfortable enough with the delicate art of pleasing orally a woman. I am so thankful to Marcy Michaels and Marie Desalle for providing so content rich, original and great results oriented book. It rightfully deserve to one of the highest ranking in these categories. The two authors take you by the hand and in amazingly honest, understanding and expert way show you the ins and outs of oral pleasing. They don't assume anything. They don't follow any stereotypes. They simply provide A-Z first class education in this crucial area similarly to the related bestseller "scientfically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex". I agree that every man must read "The Low down of going down" and take full advantage of the exercises, anatomical descriptions, certain mental adjustments and really practice in order to master everything revealed in the book. My performance was ok before but it is incredible now and my girlfriend is delighted every time. After all that's the ultimate criteria whether a book delivers or not. We are very pleased with the depth and scope of the content and it is one of the few books that deserve to be highly recommended! Get a copy and see for yourself.

Including this, there are four books on cunnilingus available through Amazon. I have them all and for serious students my advice is to likewise buy them all, but this one is my pick for the best presented practical information including techniques. It's not without humor and the quotations from the likes of Shakespear and Dickens are a nice touch but the emphasis is on technique which may seem rather clincial - men need emotional stimulation too. So, if you are a woman wanting something to give as a present to an unenthusiastic partner yet to discover the delights of performing oral sex on you - and I'm sure there are many out there - it may not be enough. A book of erotic short stories written by women with plenty of emphasis on cunnilingus, such as the "Herotica" series, in conjunction with this might just do the job.

I didn't read the book but bought it for my man and can I just say, he went from a man who needed some guidance to a whiz, holy cow. He read the entire book, and the first time he performed oral on me after reading the book was amazing. I am more than pleased. He did tell me about the exercises you should be doing which sounded over the top to me. I mean, h*ll, I wouldn't expect him to do all these mouth exercises regularly, jeez. I think the book is well worth the money. Take it from a woman who couldn't "get there" in 20 mins of him trying to please. To getting then and then some in 5 mins!

The book is pretty good. Some of the exercises are a little hard to do but the techniques are good. My girlfriend has enjoyed what I have learned so far.

I just finished reading this book and it's companion book "Blow Him Away: How to Give Him Mind-Blowing Oral Sex." Two thirds of both books have the exact same information and only differ when getting male/female specific. They could have easily been one book had they just merged the male and female portions into separate sections instead of two books with exact same information with except to the male/female specific parts.

They had a lot of good information in them, most of which my girlfriend already uses and is teaching me, and she didn't even read the book! I was hoping for some new information but like I just said... anyway, they basically explained why my girlfriend behaves the way she does when we have sex.

For those with limited satisfying sexual experiences I would definitely recommend this book. But those of you who already have a great sexual relationship like myself it's only good for general information only.

I found the item well worth the price...but of course I cannot say exactly why! Suffice to say that if you are seeking some new strategies as you age, you will find the book interesting. For those looking for cheap thrills, look elsewhere. A mature book for mature minds.

Before I married my wife, I did not have previous experience with oral sex. Once we married, I found myself having to do more than rely on trial and error. I began doing research and came across this book. I found the chapters on mouth exercises the best part of the book as it gave me instruction I hadn't even considered trying on my own.

I think the other thing I took away from this book was a better understanding of what it takes to ensure my wife is relaxed and has a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Even though she would never tell me if I did anything wrong, I want to do what I can to ensure I don't. After reading this book and using the advice given, I do feel as though I am getting better.

Another book on the topic of oral sex I found interesting was Player's Handbook Volume 3 - Make Her Squirt! A Quick and Dirty Guide to Female Ejaculation and Extended Orgasm.

I came away from both books realizing pleasing a woman isn't just something that a man knows innately. There is a lot to learn.

I've read many books on the techniques on going down. By far this is the best one I've ever spent my time on. It is specific with exercises and visual aids. I've reread it several times and found something to improve each time. If you wish to get good at going down this is the book to spend your money on.
