Low Energy Electron Diffraction as explained by one of its pioneers,
By Ulfilas (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Low Energy Electron Diffraction (Hardcover)
When I was a grad student in materials science in the mid 1970's my best friend, a physics grad student who used LEED in his surface science thesis research, recommended this book to me as the seminal treatment of this topic. Pendry, the author of this book, was one of the giants of the LEED field, whose research in the late 1960's and early 1970's advanced LEED to the point where it could be considered a quantitative technique. This book includes a detailed discussion of the dynamical diffraction theory that allowed LEED to be quantitatively interpretable.
