Product Description

Designed for lab or field use in life science and industrial applications, these portable meters are ideal for detecting and measuring alpha, beta, and gamma radiation, including 14C, 32P, 35S, and 137Cs. Multi-range units feature dual analog scales (mR/hr and cpm) and an audible signal speaker. Earphone jack is included. Model 83007-516 includes three dose ranges. Auto-ranging, microprocessor-based model 83007-514 has four ranges and includes "Peak Hold" and "Integrate" operating modes. Both models feature high voltage adjustment and LED alerts for both low battery and probe saturation. Meters are housed in a rugged, cast-aluminum case with catalyzed polyurethane finish. Unit weight: 1.0kg (2.25lbs.). Operating temperature: -20 to 60 degrees C (-4 to 140 degrees F). Humidity: 5-95% RH. Three plug-in, application-specific sensing probes are available. The end window probe and pancake probe measure alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. The pancake probe has greater sensitivity to 14C, 32P, 35S, and 137Cs. The low-energy gamma scintillation probe measures gamma radiation and is extremely sensitive to 125I.
