When I opened the box I was unplesantly suprised by how lightweight--flimsy even--the cup was. Still, I had high hopes that perhaps I would get used to that--as long as it kept my coffee warm, and didn't tip over easily. Alas, not to be. The bottom broke off of this VERY poorly made, cheap plastic coffee cup on the very first day I used it.

Don't waste your time, money or expectations on this awful cup.

Other reviewers are claiming that this mug is shoddy and fragile, but this is not the case. I got the same mug from the company where I work 3 years ago. It broke about a month ago when it fell off the roof of my car (due to ice) filled with coffee. Sure, I've seen other mugs fall like that and not break, but there's always at least some damage (it dented my stainless steel mug). I've just bought this one (the EXACT same mug) to replace it because I'd rather buy it (even though I do think it's a little pricey) than anything else.

This mug is the perfect mug for you if you're concerned about spilling. I can put this mug on angled or rough surfaces without worrying that it will topple (I've had to hold other mugs in my lap in these places to keep them from spilling).

Here are some general comments about the mug from my experience with this one, and my previous one:

- For those of you who are expecting the whole thing to fill with coffee, that's not the case. The inner-lining is about the size of a very large coffee cup. It is surrounded by the flaring base which acts as an air-filled insulator. Is it the best at keeping my coffee warm? No. But that doesn't mean it's not very good at it. I can't exactly expect it to keep my coffee warm as I drive to work in the winter, but I can also microwave this cup with ease, so I'm not really complaining.

- This mug is great for filling right from the coffee machine. Whereas others may have to wait until the pot is finished brewing to pull it out and pour it into the mug, careful maneuvering of this mug allows you to hold it directly under the flow of coffee from the machine and replace the pot when you're done.

- NOT good for car travel. While the mug is very stable for most of the drive, it does not fair well with large/sharp turns. Since it doesn't fit in a standard cup holder, I sit mine on the center console between the seats and have to put a hand on it when making sharp turns (not exactly safe).

- The lid does not come apart easily for cleaning. It's designed to pop apart, but it's rather hard to do. I haven't yet had any problems with my new one, but I really bent the old one from taking it apart over and over so that the little stopper when you turn the top no longer caught it.

Final comments: If you're mostly looking for a mug for indoor use and worried about spilling, this is the mug for you!

Not worth the money. By the picture I thought it was bigger and thicker. I was getting the mail out of the mailbox. The cup was empty. I droped it and the bottom of the cup broke off. 7-11 use to sell a much better cup. Thats what I thought I was getting.

The item was OK because what could go wrong with a cup, However compared to the other two cupos I purchased it was definitely inferior and not what I would consider a good value for something more expensive then the other cups I bought. More expensive did not mean better.

Inexpensive, but works very well for what it is. Doesn't tip over, keeps coffee warm.
If I dropped it on floor, it would probably break, but I haven't dropped it. Looks OK on my desk.

This mug is perfect to have outside because it will not tip over. It is easy to clean and fits our needs. Customer service was excellent with the delivery time very prompt.

Simple functional style with easy to use lid. Insulation could be better but overall happy with the product.

It does a good job of keeping coffee from freezing to a Popsicle. The little thumb "button" that opens/closes the drinking opening broke off the first time it went through the dishwasher. Still usable.

I bought this mug because I like my coffee hot! It wasn't!
It did not keep it hot and even though it said it was dishwasher safe,
water got inside the seal within a few weeks.

I do like the size though, now I use it for ice cream.
